Also, what I had heard about the "few chassis'" going to Motomachi....I still don't know why. Are they for research?...racing?...GR?...etc... Not to mention if the motors will be shipped in the cars or separately???
When I was playing around with the VIN decoder, I stumbled upon a few euro 20i and 30i models that had a weird mixture of euro specs and Japanese equipment that could probably explain this

PerformanceSound is a GTR enthusiast....the GTR comes with a DCT (aka not a stick). If he is okay with the GTR not having a manual I am guessing that he is fine with the MKV not having a manual.....as long as the engine and performance is up to par.
Much as I would love to see this car with a manual transmission (with selectable rev-matching) your reasoning here seems unimpeachable. I wonder how many potential buyers there are who like me would be more sold on the A90 if Toyota released a MT car at a lower than anticipated price as opposed to bringing it out with monster-level power.

Given he is somewhat a believer after these rumors...my guess is Toyota has been developing a tweaked version of the b58. Tweaked enough and different enough to be a unique and special motor.
I am a GTR die-hard fan....you all know this. It has been a dream of mine to own Godzilla. However, if what I heard is true.....then, we will get one hell of a car to be honest.

I am curious on pricing though...this all must come at a price .

Have to buy the rumored LC-F for that or If you have some serious cash a LFA.
A Supra ist still just a sports car and not a super car.
Nissan redefined what the GTR is, so why can’t Toyota do something similar in that same vein? I’m not really asking for a 500-600HP supercar killer beast. Just not something that looks reminiscent of a 370z on paper...

That's only if you look at peak numbers

If you look at curves and when power is being made, you will see even a base 320hp B58 blows the VQ37 out of the water (and thats coming from someone who DD's a VQ37)

That’s what worries me. I have a feeling that it will put a lot of us not being able to afford one.

Are we talking about the A90 at launch? Or is this something we’d have to wait on, a few years down the road?

At least for what I was referring to, I am under the impression it will come later. Again, it may be different than what Performance is speaking to however.
Interesting. So assuming it’s not coming at launch, we’re going to be waiting quite a while to actually find out what it is huh? I can’t see Toyota debuting the A90, and then saying we have something better coming in a few years lol.

And not wanting one. The beauty of Supras is that they can driven pretty much any day of the year, pending snow, and be enjoyed by pretty much anyone. My grandmother even owned a turbo targa mk3.

But then again I have never been caught up with big power numbers (aka dick swinging) and wouldn't own a GTR competitor Supra in the same way I wont own a GTR or hellcat for that matter

I'm not sure it will be all that long, but I never asked a specific timeframe as that probably has yet to be determined outside of a guess.
