Do you guys think doing a partial unlock will ever become more affordable and be done in the US?

Basically I need to do a partial unlock to be able to tune my car, but $1600 just for the unlock seems absolutely crazy to me. Maybe i'm just cheap. Do you guys think that eventually someone in the US will be able to do the femto unlock for less than $1600?

Does that include MT? Or is that scheduled to be cracked on their next lunch break ?

I don't think it will happen in the U.S. for several years. Femto would make a killing if they branched out to the U.S. and had an office/location here. The blessing and curse in having the B58TU with the 6 port is more power than the 2020 launch year models, but we have to deal with this partial unlock Femto crap.

My cousin has a friend in Montana who has a friend from college who recently moved to Oregon to start a new performance shop. He told my cousin’s friend who told me they will have a full unlock ready in two weeks.

Nobody that ACTUALLY did this would sit on it with the demand. Anyone that states “oh, we totally did it but are waiting a bit because of some other focus” is 1000% full of crap.
