Lots of judgement on this thread. It's random chance as what the kid decides to f*** around find out about. The only thing you can count of most of the time is that the kid will choose to f*** around. It's what they do, it's how they learn, it's part of growing up. They get away with this type of thinking in part because the psychologically they think they are still the stars of their own movie. The main character never gets in a wreck. The main character never dies or kills someone. That's the supporting character. Dom never dies in Fast and Furious.

As for this particular instance, you really have to judge the reaction of the kid. If he didn't actually hurt anyone AND he's scared s***less AND his parents really lay into him then the point is likely made. He f****** and found out. Don't do it again.

You can say fuck on the internet.

Speaking of... fuck that shit. I don't give a fuck what anyone thinks about themselves. If you break a law you better fucking be prepared to deal with it.

I know I can. But it's a habit I try and keep in check. Poorly sometimes.

Differing theroies on crime and punishment. Your POV is not wrong. My post is more around the judgement of people's parenting capabilities. Some kids are just going to kid.

They are. If 'going to kid' is wreckless driving 132mph on a street filled with innocent people.. yeah. fuck em.

yeah. fuck em (the kid). But leave the parents out of it -- we have no idea the quality of parenting, the effort put in, etc.. I have no idea what my 21 year old kid is going to do.

The mf is not even trying. I got my supra at 19. Yes I floor it, but holy fuck know when to speed, and when not to, and even if your going to pick a right place. Like how the fuck does this thought even go through his brain. Let me go 132 in a street full of cars. He got a slap on the wrist for this. He should have a worse sentence.

Don't know about 2.0 but in 3.0 it's fairly easy to past 100mph without even realizing.
But at 130 one would hope that you either check hud or speedo if totally incapable of judging speed. But it's a 2.0 so no hud. See Toyota, you need a hud for legal reasons ?

Having said that, today i drove XM, iX M60, i4 M50, M3 comp and not once did I not go over the speed limit. ?

My dad let me have a 400whp/2900lb car as a 16 year old. Not once did I get pulled over for speeding.
So what did you get pulled over for? Flashing butt at oncoming traffic? :ninja:

I'm not trying to make excuses for the kid, but when I took adolescent psychology the text says that males around this age range tend to feel indestructible and a region in their developing brain is seeking new sensations and are more prone to risk-taking behaviors.

The only time I got pulled over in it was from setting off all the car alarms in the malls parking structure. I told the cops that my carb was bad and it was loading up so I was just trying to clear it out to keep it running. It worked!

I was doing 160+ when I could finally afford speed in my early 20s. Hell I did 140 last week in my Supra and I’m closer to 50 now. I some guys have the need for speed and a few tickets like this are the price. I got pulled at 128 in a construction 55 in Va as a young troop. These things happen
