Last season I was AMS Catless and AWE Resonated Touring, it sounded great but it still has some raspiness.

Its been two weeks since ive installed the RK Signature Titanium and it now sounds like a proper straight 6. The downshifts sound like an RB26. I do have to admit that the AWE does look more aggressive but the sound of the RK makes up for it.

Not the best video/sound clip, but I will be attempting a gopro/external mic when I get some time.

Can you compare the AWE and RK? like loudness, fitment, drone, raspy, weight saving?

What is the point of 2 turn downs?
because that's what i wanted to do i guess. i try not to overthink these things

its also useable with the stock exhaust mid-section and provides a little more volume control and different sound than the 6 inch pipe section ive seen for the bottom of the downpipe.

i preferred the sound exiting at the rear half of the car as i daily drive it and take my toddler everywhere with me.

Well, i guess it is your car.... :)

Makes some sense. My short turn down IS super obnoxious and painful. If wasn't a track toy only i would be looking at extending one pipe straight back possibly.

Remark Exhaust with AA catted DP

Remark Exhaust with Armytrix catless DP (audio is not as good. Forgot my mic). Also nothing was loose. It was just pebbles hitting the underside of my car.

Fitment is easily adjustable. I had to use a worm clamp on the rubber bracket thing for the hanger. That way I was able to close the exhaust tip gaps in the rear. The overall system fits like a glove and doesn't create any ground clearance issues.

I went with HKS Hi-Power exhaust paired with an AMS catted dp. I've run catless dp on my sti's and it was fun back then but I don't wanna deal with it anymore. Just going for a little bit louder than stock while getting performance out of it and mainly I'm not the one driving it all the time.

Are there any catback exhaust with a 4 inch downpipe connection that retain the factory valve functionality?

I haven't seen it. Remnant offers a nice one that doesn't work with underside brace and ETS offers one that does but the tips are blah. Reason I went with Injen 3.5". Has valve, clears brace, burnt tips and got a great price.

No.

You either get +20-50WHP (depending on installed turbo) by having 4" all the way through, or you keep the valve.

If the remnant exhaust didn’t hang so low under the rear bumper I might be tempted to install it.

But with the way it looks, I wouldn’t last a week where I live before a cop tickets me with an order to remove it.

I have 2 options:

no valve but discrete looking

or

valved and discrete looking.

my current MBRP doesn’t attract any attention from the police but I want something less restrictive for a larger turbo.

SHS Autosport does. It's a v-band connection. It uses 2 mufflers, so it's not as loud as some exhausts.

Well damn. Had no idea. It's more than twice what I paid but seems like a great option for high HP applications.

SHS Autosport is not a real 4" exhaust. It hooks up to the OEM downpipe, which has a 3.15" exit. That means the total flow of the exhaust is limited to what can be moved through a 3.15" diameter. That makes it, in reality, a 3.15" exhaust.

The 4.0" number is pure marketing.

I went with DINAN cat-back

not on the “poll” believe in the quality and value of this system. Will post before and after when done.
