That's my biggest fear, then need a remap to map them out.. Wouldn't want them any louder than they are at the moment.
You can easily tune them out. Also in normal mode there's barely any pops.
I mean, in order to disable the OPF codes you need a ECU flash so you might as well put in a stage 1 tune and turn of the pops if you don't like them.

Shame they only supply that with the weird "blueflame" tip finish. Given the cost, I'd d be willing to give it a go if they could match the OEM brushed tips.
I've seen that you can get blueing remover polish which, if i went this route, i'd look into that polish.

After some thought, I'm thinking of doing the whifbitz straight pipe / back box delete. My main concern is that its no different to having the exhaust mod done which I've currently got but nothing ventured, nothing gained...

As I do have the exhaust mod done, I don't particularly want to cut up my exhaust to fit these so if there's someone who would want to swap their stock exhaust plus cash (open to offer) for my modded stock exhaust? Ping me a DM.

With a turbo, CAT & OPF in place most of the volume is already gone as they soak up so much energy. I'm currently running an Akrapovic silencer with the rest of the stock exhaust and there is very little difference over standard - a little bit deeper maybe, but that's it.

If you want to change the noise then you need to start removing restrictions etc.

Mine is going in later this week for a stage 2+ :spaz:

Nice, where are you going for that? Change of exhaust system too?

Whifbitz :)

Going for deCAT downpipe, Akrapovic OPF delete mid pipe, joined up to the Akrapovic silencer. Will also be having an MST inlet for a little more noise etc.
Will leave it like that for awhile to see how the clutch copes with an extra 100ft/lb! ?

I'm really in two minds what to do :confused1: cut the stock exhaust or get a cat back... if there is little improvement on noise levels with axle back options, then the way to go is cat back, if i keep the car for its first MOT then i'll need to swap the exhaust back which i guess isnt too big of a job but difficult on axle stands .

How exciting what you having done

Nice! Like @Chappers mentioned, I'm also sitting on the fence of which way to go next. Look forward to your feedback :)

The ECU has to be sent away to be cracked, once that's done it's good to go. (Just avoid taking it to Toyota after that for any "updates/recalls" as they may re-lock it)

@BrettMRC it would be Amazing, if you manage to please, to get a nice before and after of the sounds, ideally same conditions and place of filming setup for consistency! Since it seems quite rare for any of us UK Supra owners to get these sort of mods done unlike US, I am really excited (jealous) to see how it goes for you ???

I'll do my best, but these day's I'm quite limited on filming support etc!

May be able to record a few revs in the garage, (to capture the lovely Akrapovic 20sec valve rattle on a cold start! ? ) before I go, or possibly persuade Whifbitz if they don't mind doing some recording while they have it.
