Yeah. I've often eaten the cost on a track day because why spend MORE money getting there, spend MORE money on insurance and possibly bin the car due to mud. I'd rather just lose the $200ish for the track day.
In rain, driving off the line sometimes provides more grip. Good in racing situations, because you get to use some strategy, etc... but S U C K S for HPDE.
Driving on the line had no traction at all. So, had to drive off it, but then crossing it during corners was sketchy af.

@kaj come on, you can't tell me you hated driving the evo in the rain. To me, the evo in the rain was the most fun track day I have ever had. I can see how the supra would be no fun though....

Not a Corvette.
10,000% agree here. Some people love wet track days. I am not one of them. When I was younger and just starting out with track days I remember using those days as learning tools but now I will cancel or leave early if it becomes full rain. Not worth my time. I would rather be spending time with people I love than driving rain days.

I guess I value my time with grip more now.

I understand you don't personally like tracking in the rain which is fine, you have said it 3 maybe 4 times already. Issue is please refrain from discouraging others because of your own personal feelings. Rained track days are prized by motorsport instructors to teach car control all over the world.

It is the only time you can go sideways, get control, spin out all within very low speeds. If you think you are going to get better fast by pushing the car harder and harder on perfect conditions you are mistaken. It is going to take you many years and hundreds of sets of tires...A low grip track or skid pad exercise can go a long way towards your being a better driver goals, if that is what you want of course. If your only purpose is to have fun and be able to go as fast as possible in your car on dry tarmac, then sure, but please put that disclaimer on your post.

Ps: I have done 5-6 rainy track days and never had mud on track, at least for long, so this happening is not guaranteed.

Rain, yes. On track yes ... Until the offs started. Then it was about dodging piles of mud after every single blind corner.
I re-watched the videos. Horrible LOL
Like I said above, if the tracks stayed clean it would be great and lots of fun. But it doesn't. Day ruined.
Mostly I do these track days to reach my personal best. I learn to drive these tracks in the dry so that I can get my PB. So, yeah. I like spending my money on those events ?

I'm also out to have fun, set PBs, and enjoy my day.
If I want to learn to be a better driver, I will grab an instructor to take along with me.

I will do no such thing. This is an open, public forum.
I have simply asked you to construct your posts in a manner so they are not damaging to people who are just getting in to track days and may run in to your post and might value what you had to say.

If your response to that is “this is a free country”, I am not gonna bother any further.

He gave his opinion. It's his opinion. It's not wrong.

My opinion is that dry track days are the best but the most fun I have ever had on the track was in the rain. But at the same time, if it's raining on a track day, I probably won't go in the supra.

Conclusion - do it once and see if it's for you.

I did not say he is wrong.

I just would not want someone reading these posts shy away from wet track days and miss out on a great learning opportunity. Hopefully they will have the sense to realize wetting the track or the skidpad is an extra/premium cost when you rent out a track. So that $5000 Wednesday willow springs rental becomes $7000, which you get for $200 if you attend a wet track day.

It's not damaging to post his opinion. It might actually be helpful for someone who tries out a rainy day HPDE and doesn't enjoy it to know they're not alone amongst the cries of "It's a great learning experience!"

I for one am not out there to push my car to it's utmost limits, it's limits (in the dry) probably exceed my comfort level. I'm a fairly conservative driver on track, and I'm ok with that. I'm out there to have a good time and see what the car is capable of in my hands and improve my lap times and I don't feel that either of those is possible (for me) in inclement weather.

Ordering some HKS adjustable springs from @NitroYellowMKV and picking up some camber plates from someone else locally that is going to help do the install. Do I need spring silencers? What do they even do?

Also any other tips appreciated.

If your response to that is “this is a free country”, I am not gonna bother any further.

It has nothing to do with being a free country. Has to do with: this is an open form. We all get to voice our opinions. Nobody has a gun to anyone's head and telling them do what I say. I'm a nobody. I'm just some guy who loves driving a car. I'm not a professional. I'm not an instructor. I'm not advertising anything or promoting anything. There's literally no reason for me to be diplomatic.
That's like me asking you not to tell me what to do. That would be ridiculous, yes?. All of our experiences, opinions, and input are just as valuable as the next guys.
It's not like I'm claiming my opinion on driving in the rain is objective in any way. It's clearly not being stated nor implied that it's fact.
As mentioned above, it may be helpful to others. Some people want to know exactly what they're getting into. The good and the bad.
Feel free to post all your positive experiences.

That is exactly the "this is a free country" statement...oh whatever. You are good bro, I am not gonna bother you about this anymore.
