Saw on Reddit, driver survived, this article calls the Supra a 'sedan'. On the Parkway in New Jersey today at 9:30 AM.

"The witness who took the video told the Scoop the driver got out of the vehicle on their own. State Police spokesman Troy McNair said the driver suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a hospital."

What an @sshole. Dude should lose his license for that. It's a good thing that truck was there or those workers probably would have been taken out.

Hey! As a former NJ resident I resent this remark.

(I won't argue that the driver was a complete @sshole though, and is lucky that truck was there or he probably would have taken out those workers)
I always say, NJ drivers are good drivers. There's just a bunch of a-holes out there.

I showed my wife. She instantly said “he didn’t mean to do it obviously” - ummmmmmmm okay true…. Then I read your response today - screw that guy! I’m so torn ?

Hopefully he’ll join the forum and learn ?‍?
Drivers rarely ever intend for these things to happen, hence why they're called accidents. Ultimately, this boils down to him being reckless on a highway. He's not absolved from any responsibility just because "he didn't mean to do it". I doubt anyone here would've reacted as negatively if he just spun out at a track. Crashing while showboating is always going to be frowned upon. If you're okay with showing off to a bunch of kids for clout, you also have to accept criticism. Like everyone else said, this could've been avoided so easily.

I don't pretend to be an expert driver that can handle 400+ hp without TC, so I'm not turning it off for a tiny power bump. I just don't get it personally. Totally understand turning it off if you can handle it or you're in a safe/closed environment. Really glad everyone is okay, but I hope he learns a lesson from this.

Lol that plate.

I was a NJ resident and now a NY resident. North Jersey drivers are the worst. NY state drivers aren’t much better.
Before we moved out here my wife (girlfriend at the time) lived in NYC and I (lived in northern NJ) would drive out once a year to visit her family for one of the holidays. You could tell what state we were in by the condition of the roads and the actions of the drivers. We'd usually get cutoff more in the first 5 minutes of being in NJ than we did in the previous 10 hours of driving. I always chuckle when people complain about the roads out here being bad. They've got nothing on NYC and NYC adjacent roads.

I still think Maryland drivers are the worst. That's the only state where I've been run off the road multiple times by people trying to change lanes into me.

NJ weather has been good after 11 days of over cast. I, too, wanted to take my supra out for drive but not like that.. :( And for some reason, NY drivers likes to drive recklessly in NJ.. typically, either driving way below speed limit in left lane - even though sign says left lane for passing only - and others weaving in and out without signals at 50 ~ 60 miles above speed limit. not saying all NJ drivers are good but this is typical scene in NJ highways..

Living in North Jersey took all the fun out of driving for me. The roads are such crap. I now live in NY State, in the Hudson Valley and it's full of great driving roads, in good condition.

NJ is the most populous state in the USA and I think 98% of that is in North Jersey. All those cars + winters just destroy the roads.

There were lots of fun mountain roads in NW Jersey (Sussex area) and in the Ringwood area.
