I don’t think the interior is going to wow either, I do like the overall appearance in the latest video and pics though

The bmw configurator now has the z4 m40i on it, choice of three colours only though. The tech pack with HUD is £1800. That and a couple of other boxes ticked comes to £51600.

Ouch. Costs more than a Z4, and more than many other cars

I'll keep my deposit in to see what 'events' they have planned, but going to buy an M2 Comp or Cayman .

Both come as manuals and are cheaper.

I feel that Toyota have really messed up with the UK. Comparing the US prices and launch trims and specs (love the white with red mirrors!) they have nailed it over there. The Supra in the UK costing more than the top spec Z4 will really impact sales of a car that already didn't have all the reservations go.

I was getting really excited watching the reveal and was ready to go ahead until I checked the website and saw the £52000 base price, up to £56,495 for the "A90 Edition" spec. You can get a Cayman S with more power, less weight and a manual (along with arguably one of the best handling cars at this price point) for less! I've been following this along for over a year now just waiting to see what they pulled out, and I feel what they have is a great car with a lot of potential that costs around £8k more than it should.

I'm going to progress my order when it opens to continue the process but once test drives are available it will have to really impress for me to part with more of my money.

Same. I was hoping the top model would max at £50k. If I'm lucky enough to get one of the first 24, Ill probably buy it. Not so sure otherwise.

I'm exactly the same, hoping to get one of the 24 but if not my money will go towards Porsche or to the used market.

Well, now I realise I hadn't read the email properly. The ability to order starts at noon tomorrow. Now, I guess this is only open to those of us who have a deposit? I certainly hope so. So at midday, gentlemen, draw your browser and shoot. The first 24 to hit purchase get the ltd edition. I have no idea if only 3-4 of us will try, or there are 100 ready and waiting. It's gonna be interesting. Good luck!

As you can still reserve now, I dare say speculators will jump in, or those ‘connected’ and get the 24, it should really have been the first 24 to have reserved since October. That would have been fairer.

I'm definitely not in the first 24 and I still think that would have been better. Or have the order confirmation only open to people that had reserved before the announcement on day 1, then day 2 opened it for everyone. At this point there is no benefit at all to have paid the £1000 blindly in October when there were at the very least heavy suggestions of exclusive experiences and content. The Echo was great and I really appreciated it, but still... Will people signing up now get one of them as well?

Im only in it for the freebies now.

The car has too many flaws for me to consider spending what is in effect a very nice 991 £ on it.

Blissya. Sorry for you, but good to know that I wasn't the only one in the UK to have missed out on the echo.
