If you own any of these exhausts, please let me know how you are enjoying them and how they sound on stock downpipes

AWE sounds great, but no valves, Dinan and active autowerke are also great options both sub 2500, personally would look at them before Tomei or Borla. There is also the SHS track system, very loud but awesome sound and quality. All for sub $2500.

AWE touring non res is best for stock downpipe. I have the resonated version with both stock and catless DP it sounded great with both downpipes obviously louder catless but the tone isnā€™t compromised either way. If you need/prefer a valve i would recommend valvetronic designs itā€™s quiet when closed but when open itā€™s def louder than the AWE but compromises on tone as most valved systems.

I havenā€™t even looked into valvetronic but with everyoneā€™s comments, Iā€™m sold on the AWE. Thank you for the info!

There are way more options under $2500 than those three, but I agree, the AWE is AWEsome.

Bear in mind though, the AWE is a bit loud loud and very deep sounding. For spirited driving in Sport mode, it's awesome, but the lack of the valve, as gimmicky as some may suggest, is quite beneficial on road trips or commutes in Normal mode.

Anyone looking into a non-valved exhaust should at least try to pull their actuator fuse (F203) while in Sport mode then drive around with your current setup in Normal mode for a while on your commute or a short road trip.

I found that option is a good test whether you are satisfied with that lower bass tone in high gear and then just imagine it amplified with a less restrictive exhaust and wider piping.

I know AWE patents a 180 drone cancelling technology, but even some who loved the system overall didn't like giving up the valve altogether for road trips and commuting.
