Curbed my factory lip finally and roughed up a portion of the plastic. Was wondering what grit sandpaper I should use to smooth it out before touching it up with some I assume semi gloss paint? And help would be appreciated.

If it is one of the side pieces, the A91 CF style lip I sell covers it entirely, just did that for someone who damaged both sides with express lane cones. Just another option, if want oem I would just order a new one because they are less that $50 a piece

Those pieces aren't painted. Just bare plastic. Material from the curb is probably making it look so light. If sanding/polishing doesn't make it look satisfactory the part itself isn't super expensive.

Gotcha so painting with a paint made for plastic wouldn’t be worth it? I figured it was just bare plastic but also figured I could at least touch it up at least a little

I would think it'd look pretty rough with touch up paint if you didn't first smooth out the surface. I'd try that first and see what it looks like.

What would you suggest to use to smooth it out?

Dude just buy the replacement and call it a day lol. Dont waste your time trying to diy it. The cost of sandpaper plus paint plus what you value your time at is going to be more than the part itself

For something that small, I would just stand my super sharp cutting knife blade perpendicular to the rough spot and pull the blade towards me to remove some of the rough plastic. Then just touch it up with matte or satin black enamel paint.

I can fix that completely using putty, sanding, and paint, but as others have mentioned, probably easier just getting a new piece especially if you don't have the tools nor prior experience with fillers and sanding and painting, etc.. I would remove the piece from the car anyway if I was going to repair it, so..

I would get a black sharpie out of office supply cabinet and just draw over the scuff. If you go to trouble of replacing it, you will end up scuffing the new one in month or two.

I'll say it again, I literally bought all three of these the day I got my car. Took one good look at the nose and was like "yeah, no, those aren't gonna stay perfect more than a year." Having used two of them over the years, I replenished my stock and have the trio in my garage loft right now. They're laughably easy to swap out too, with the corner pieces taking less than a minute.

Your post would be even more impressive if you did a quick DIY..
