I am obviously no scientist, physicist, or smart, but I'm not so sure it's the torque; it's more likely the fact that you're driving over nails.

Buy a high powered magnet and hang it from under the front and sides of the car - it will pick up the nails as well as triggering lazy stop lights.

You must be still using the stock oil. BMW specced an unreasonably low viscosity oil for fuel efficiency reasons. Unfortunately, that low viscosity is a common cause of nails being pushed into tires.

Softer, wider, stickier tires with heat in them will increase your chances of picking up something. Spinning the rear tires a lot will decrease your chances of dispersing a nail I’d assume. As for slicks or radials I’m not sure as there’s not much thread to begin with.

No, what happens is the front tyres run over the nail/screw and lifts it off the road surface and bounces it up so it has a better chance of piercing the rear tyre. Every time someone in my area has some major building work done on their house or renovations it's always nail/screw in the tyres often multiple times. Tradies are slack with shit falling off their big turbo diesel utes. New build happening just down from me now. I avoid driving past that way going to and from home. It's not a bullet proof methodology but it's the best I've got. The bikes are the same. The rears 90% of the time for the same reason.
