since we're talking about manual transmissions.... can someone tell me when i should be shifting out of first gear lol i feel like im always shifting at the wrong time and it gets weird with second gear, either the rpm is too high or too low. or maybe i just need to work on my technique
Start letting out the clutch a little earlier before you feed it gas. Once you figure it out, its easy and repeatable. Still plan on CDV at some point since I haven't heard any negatives, but it is not bad at all for me.

I mean, you're not wrong, but also, who cares? Model 3's are shite.
I think you missed the point lol. Acceleration is not everything in a car.

I can go trade in on a Plaid and stomp any car short of a 720s, but I won't for the same reason I drive MT instead of AT :)

No hate to ATs at all, ZF8 is lovely. Just personal preference.

Ahhh yes, now I get it. I have not taken my car to the track, but I have done some spirited canyon driving and it's a great experience.

I do still like the straight line power too!

Can you permanently disable auto-rev matching and hill assist? Such annoying features for those that can actually drive MT like they should be driven. The last car I had with auto-rev match was a 370Z.. and it was retarded.
There’s no way of turning off the hill assist as far as I know but you can turn off the auto rev match

Yep those Model 3 owners get extra money from the Troll of All Musk lol. The more cars they pass to prove they are faster the more pennies rain from heaven lol.
SOMEONE is always faster and it means ZERO but those with small minds and appendages, need all the emotional support a car or truck can give them lol.

BMW manuals are crap. They're spongy and sloppy feeling. The manual in my GR Corolla is much much better. BTW I need a 6MT badge for that OP ?

Of the two, the ZF8 Supra is the better one. Hands down.

God complex manual boasters need to understand they're nothing special.

But that badge, that's fkn awful.

P.S. I need a 13MT badge for my semi so other automatic semi drivers know I'm better than them ?

Dick, what are you doing on the internet so early in the morning? You’re suppose to still be sleeping. The Price is Right isn’t even on yet.

I’ve always wondered why there’s so many MT owners that must name drop or make it known they have a manual?
As an owner of a few manual cars, I cringe when people add MT to a topic or an issue that affects both AT and MT versions of the Supra and its not specific transmission platform. A few users on here make the MT drivers look kind of corny, and not respecting the ZF8 after it's been proven to be a great transformation shows me they're not real car enthusiast or race on a track. I understand people have their preference but show respect to a proven platform. I still don't understand why the MT drivers on here aren't complaining about the missing hand brake. In my opinion, it should come with both, but that's just me.

I agree but if you think that's cringey, speak to the 45th Anniversary Owners. They don't drive Supras, they drive 45ths.. just ask them. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they aren't petitioning the admins to start their own separate forum section. ?

Probably because that ship has sailed. We're just glad we aren't stuck with an automatic. ?‍♂
