Can you permanently disable auto-rev matching and hill assist? Such annoying features for those that can actually drive MT like they should be driven. The last car I had with auto-rev match was a 370Z.. and it was retarded.
As someone who grew up with manual cars and 90’s jdm cars, the auto rev match in the MKV is likely a notch better than the 370z. I get lazy and keep it on often times.

Am I the only one that likes IMT?
I actually like it. Do wish it had a warning beep if you money shift since the shifter is a bit vague. Never money shifted before in 25 yrs of driving stick (knock on wood), but this shifter is one of the worst I’ve had and makes me think I will.

How many miles do you have on the car? I can't imagine this is the worst shifter unless you've experience only the best manual cars. I think you need at least 2000 miles to pass a final judgment. I'm also having some difficulties getting used to downshifting from 5th to 4th gear, but only have 400 miles. My BRZ, it took 2000 miles for it to smooth out / for me to get used to the shifter feel and now the only excuse for mis-shifts in the BRZ is my own user error. In my limited test drive of a 996 manual, I'd say this Supra shifter reminds me of that test drive. It's somewhat rubbery/vague, but it still has some positive feel. It's very much a mix of luxury and sport feel.

These manual purist threads are becoming as annoying as the oil threads.
Are there a lot of manual purist threads? The popular manual threads are “a91-mt clutch slipping”, “is there a warning to prevent money shifting”, “CDV removal for manual driving experts only”. This thread with the OP who has a “6MT” badge takes the cake tho. OP’s review offers nothing of substance simply stating “I am in complete control of my car”.

Lol this guy who keeps asking for a money shift warning beep. Hope he doesn’t have to keep reading instructions on what to do under the sheets after 25 years. Gawd.

Ok the boomer tag gets dropped a ton on this site, so let me just say the boomers and the Gen Z folks have had a chance to grow up with manual cars. That said, they know why it is so much more addictive to drive a sports car when you need to control every minute by shifting.

The Millenials and Gen Z grew up with game boy's and X box controllers which are basically the same as the paddle shifters. So I get it!

So this car is a blast! It is like you are in a cockpit. The entire driving experience is one hand on the shifter and the other on the wheel. In any traffic situation it is like you are in your own Nascar race. At a red light this car is a sleeper to 98% of the people out there! You punch this thing at 20 MPH in first gear and the tires break loose.

This is 100 times more fun, manual or automatic than my old C8! My buddy and I went out early on a Sunday and I beat his C8 by two car lenghts from 60 to 120 mph....this turbo is amazing!

So the trolls that will slam me I am sure for something I said should be banned from this site, if that is all they do! Do the moderators watch that stuff!

do not give me any shit on my 6MT badge
Great review. Showing your 6MT spirit loud, pround and clear!

That’s the way it should be. Don’t worry bout those snall dicks that try to make you feel bad on putting your emotions out.

Some are just jelly that you can drive stick and own a Supra 6MT.

Glad you’re enjoying her. Had the manual been out in 2022, I probably would have leaned that way. Now I’m glad I didn’t. This thing caught me off guard, how good she handles on track (even with the ZF transmission ?). Doesn’t mean I’m hurting on the Supra MT. I‘d buy more in all flavors if I could!

As far as stereotypes, they only go so far. Both my kids drive manuals. My other car is a manual.

Lastly, most people are mega helpful on here. Making fun of shit is part of the fun! Embrace it all amigo. Life is too short to take words (people) on the internet too seriously ?

Dick, what are you doing on the internet so early in the morning? You’re suppose to still be sleeping. The Price is Right isn’t even on yet.
