Is BimmerCode considered an ECU flash? Like would there be any dealership/warranty issues if something were to happen at any point?
nope. as proof, people buy used BMWs with custom BimmerCoding often. BimmerCode also has built-in backups in case a flash fails. issues with BimmerCode are rare

Not an ECU flash type issue with a dealership. I have never had any issues with my dealership nor have I heard of anyone having issues over BimmerCode.

Welcome to the forums, and congratulations. When do we start modding? lol
haha, I think I’m going to keep it stock for a bit! Maybe an exhaust. Any recommendations?

There’s a loooong history of people debating oil choices on the forum. It’s rather taken on a life of its own at this point and become a source of joy/irritation/confusion all in one.

That said, I totally agree - 5w40 is the way with this engine.

Beautiful car - congrats and welcome!!
Thank you! Are there any brands you’d recommend?

Welcome to the team, noob. Please wipe your feet before coming in - I have new carpet and don't want it fucked up.

Things to remember:
1. Ask @zrk
2. @Jesse DaBears can do that
3. Yes, your post 6/20 ECU will go to FEMTO. Click here.
4. In two weeks

Two points before this thread goes too far on an oil tangent.
1. Liqui Moly is a good brand of oil. They recommend their 0W-20 for street Supras. Anything else could void your warranty.
2. Any oil you choose must meet the standards listed in your owner's manual for warranty reasons. Of course, if you are okay with some risk during the warranty, you can buy whatever you want. I'm sticking with the dealership-supplied-with-free oil changes, GR 0W-20 oil. Then I may switch to Liqui Moly if the oil/filter cost with shipping is reasonable.

Liqui moly is garbage. Brands that market oil additives are brands you stay away from. I cannot believe you would recommend a 20 weight

How many years have you used their oil to determine that it is "garbage"? How about the BMW or GR oil. Are those garbage as well? The reason why the owner's manual specifies use of oil that meets the listed ACEA C5 and API SN standards. Veer away from those standards at your own risk.

The OP should know that many Supra owners in this forum have heavily-modified cars. They don't trust Toyota's recommended oil and technicians. If a Supra is stock, powertrain-wise, 0W-20 oil with the aforementioned certifications is perfectly fine to use.
