Yeah, try it with FF=16, PID gain=15, these duty bias

Probably map 1 to start. And of course needs to be on Firmware V24

Not sure on the altitude, I figure the car will mostly adapt but we'll see how the log looks
Rock on! I’ll start there for logging. Thank you so much

Hey Guys,

Following this thread for a couple weeks now. Learned a lot! Thanks OP! Trying to tune for fun now for a week until the weather cools down and i can get it professionally dyno tuned. Only issue is i get a lot of timing pulls especially from cylinder 3 for some reason. Tried first on 93 then got the fuel it sensor and went to e40. The jb4 reads the E content 3 less than the fuel it app for some reason.

These are the logs. Any input would be helpful. I find it fun slowly seeing the gains. Its a 2023 3.0 Premium A/T. CTS Intake with the Inlet pipe. Cattless Downpipe.

All the runs are fourth gear runs. Same time of day. OAT around 86f

Map 6 93 with absolute target

Map 6 with E40 absolute target (trims pretty high switched to additive)

Map6 with e40 additive map. Boost is lower but pulling more timing for some reason.
https://datazap.me/u/khalodtrd/log-1727368880?log=0&data=1-3-4-11-14-25-26-27-28-29

Thanks again. Any input would be helpful. Its another month or two till the weather becomes better here.

The Map 6 E40 additive was the best. However, I would recommend dropping down to E30. Not much headroom for fueling right now. Want trims to stay below 45 (40 if you don't log much). sometimes single cylinder timing will separate a bit, but in general your timing is extremely strong in that log. I wouldn't worry about it.

Well done on the wastegate tuning by the way!

For AA dp, I'd just start at FF 25 for the first pull and see how it looks from there.

MT range seems to be 15-25. My car is catless at 16. Have some high flow dp cars at 20. Stock cars around 25.
Copy. I'll be definitely be contacting you. Downloaded the datazap to be ready once the time comes. It'll probably be towards the middle of next month. Thank you!

Thanks for the quick update. Will try to get the trims in check. Cylinder 3 is usually the one that will drop timing. Thanks a lot for the post i was back and forth here making adjustments i think i kinda got the hang of it. You made it very clear what to look for. Cheers!

glad I could help, I think if you get down to e30 you could probably run more aggressive additive targets too. Most people I help on 93/e30 can get to +5 psi peak or a little more

Not a Corvette.
Curious, question for @razorlab. Is this an indication of needing new plugs or needing to be gapped? Really shouldn't be any corrections on these boost levels at E40 (which is too high for jb4 anyway). Only the one cylinder correcting.

It's running 14.5 AFR at that boost and timing, not surprising it's a little mad.

I run OEM gap with even 10+ more psi than that so probably not that.

Naw I have over a dozen cars running way more aggressive than that on E25-E30 with no corrections lol

My own car is running the same boost targets/timing on E25 with no corrections

Ya all are nuts, lol.
Lambda 1 target ?‍♂ nothing I can do bout it

If it richens up, that indicates temps are getting too high. If there are a lot of corrections, AFR will start to dip.

I understand, but it's one of the reasons I'm not a Jaybee4 fan. Also, Burger can eat my nuts.
Best I could do is spoof the IATs so high that it drops lambda targets lol.

Fair enough, what did Burger do though?

Hey guys,

So got it down to E30. Trims still high without really lowering targets. I tried absolute target which really helped out with the trims but got the throttle closures again. What i dont get is how is the DME BT getting so high. Im stuck at not being able to reach the targets, if i raise the FF it touches the WDGC and i get throttle closures. I tried higher targets to atleast get to 22psi. It did raise the boost a bit but i guess throttle closure is stopping it. Appreciate the help. Dyno tuning next week once the WMI reaches. Want to atleast get a map 6 dialed in without the Meth.

This is the additive map E30. Note the high trims at the lower RPMS. I really cant get the boost lower at these rpms, thats why i switched to absolute target.

This is absolute target also with E30 trying to dial it in.

Cheers!

Will post dyno graphs next week.

Hello everyone, I see new alpha version JB4 for manual transmission,
question is if I proceed with update will I have to have my custom map6 tunes for 93/e30 adjusted? Thanks in advance!
