When I go under CKT_FUNCTIONS, there is no option for ->light_unlock_lock_preauth. Does anyone happen to have a screen shot of the options under this menu for selection in bimmer code or happen to have the Hex code for this selection? Thank you in advance.

Thank you for that. This is for my BMW G30 M550i. The pre-lci shares the same BDC and NBT EVO unit as the Supra's and I am trying to get down to which settings need to be changed to get this to work. The hardware is there including the correct motion keys and antennas, just trying to find the correct configuration to get it to work. On the flip side, I know that there are many settings that mine does have working that I know that you Supra owners want and I have both Bimmer Code and Bimmer Utility. Let me know where I can have you out as well. This is not just a one sided request. Thank you again and take care.

From what I have learned, if you uncheck the lock when walkaway and unlock on approach, the welcome lights are the only thing that will happen on approach. Here is the detailed principles of operation and prerequisites. This applies to all BMW vehicles 2018 and up including Supra. Hope this helps.

Just tried it. Unfortunately you have to have Unlock enabled for the welcome lights to activate.

I know there is a setting if you go into Expert mode in the BDC, look for CKT_function and change it from light_unlock_lock_preauth to light and see if that works for you. Remember, the welcome lights are by default set by rls (Rain Light Sensor) dependency, so the lights probably do not come on in a daylight scenario. You may be able to change the setting in the attached picture to a different mode also to see if it will yield the result that you are looking for. Hope this helps.

WL_CKT_KONFIG
RLS_abhaengig (00) -> ohne_RLS_Mode_3_4_5(03)

Description: Parameter indicates whether WL (in connection with CKT=Comfort Key Tracking/light on approach) is activated depending on the RLS and if not - in which mode.
0 = RLS_dependent: Activation
only when darkness is detected
1 = ohne_RLS_Mode_1: WL

Were you able to get this to work on your G30? I tried enabling it and I cannot get it to work. However, it works perfectly on the Supra.

Sorry for the delayed response, have had a lot going on between traveling and getting sick. As for your answer, unfortunately just manually entering the value 0F did not work for me. I think at this point I need the ncd files from a Supra so I can do some parameter comparisons with my G30 to get to the bottom of this. Unfortunately, I have not found any files online as of yet. I do find it humorous that the pre-lci G30 shares the same systems as the Supra. I do think this platform is where I will find the answers that I have been looking for. I have learned a lot about both the Supra and G30 systems, hence why I have been able to provide a quick and accurate response you help out a few of you. If anyone has these files and are willing to share it with me, please let me know, it would most likely help me out a lot. The platform that I have been using is Bimmer Utility and shares most of its dynamics with Esys. Thank you again RRF985 for your help.
