Here's a weird one for you guys:

21 Supra I owned since brand new with 2,600 miles on it (yes, two thousand six hundred)
BM3 Flex Fuel Sensor
Titan Catless Downpipe
Bm3 Stage 2 MultiMap Tune
Car is reporting about E51 in the tank.
Transmission is stock without any type of tune on it.

While driving around normally in manual mode or automatic mode today while getting lunch (driving normal and in speed limit) I noticed that when shifting up into second gear from first I would get a stutter and the car would jerk. This happens when the transmission is in normal or sport mode.

Downshifting into second is no issue and car does so without a problem.

I am not noticing it when I do a full speed run from stop first gear (rolling into it), and then manually shifting into second - trans grabs, tires squeel - it appears to be a non issue when wide open throttle.

I need to get some logs, but the car is a sometimes driver that is getting put up for the winter soon, but part of me is thinking maybe due to the colder weather I am hitting some type of torque limiter under partial throttle that is confusing it, but then I would think that would happen in 3rd,4th,5th, etc as well.

I was planning on putting a pure transmission in the car along with axles, but I doubt something would break so soon just from me driving it around normally.

Any thoughts?

When it's the gearbox is cold the 1st to 2nd shift can be jerkier, but I don't know how jerky yours is, it could be the tune as well? Maybe worth flashing back to stock for a week and see if you can replicate the issue.

I switched to the stock map via BM3 multimap and it does the same thing.

Its always at low throttle between the 1-2 shift regardless.

Starting in second gear the car holds power no problem and there is no slippage detected at all.

Besides that hiccup between 1-2 the car drives just fine.

No way the trans took a dump with 2600 miles on it.....will have to get a log using BM3 software.

Something regarding the E blend. If I am not wrong which I am not 100% sure, you can't run E50 on stock fuel system. The max is E30-35

I would agree with you, but the car has a flex fuel kit from BM3 which takes into consideration the ethanol level....and it was just fine before hand :)

Nope, no drag racing at all and when I do go fast, its taking off from a roll at the stop light then punching it in manual mode.

I’m running a similar setup and noticed this as well. It doesn’t happen with VSC/ TC off. I just figured the ECU was intervening somehow from the high torque. For reference I’m hitting 620 wtq at 3200 rpm.
