Yeah 3pm is the sweet spot. People felt hesitation/boost issues i think on max.

Downpipe? When I had mine, car ran better when it was a few notches below max. Even with a downpipe.

No downpipe but based on your recommendations I'll leave it as is, thanks!

Its a great little tool that gives a nice power bump, without a downpipe I would 100% leave it on the stock setting from Burger. Even with a downpipe, I would step up to a JB4 if you want to add more power and also log the car to see how everything is performing.

**I did get a check engine light once for overboost, no performance issues but the car knew it was making more boost than it should have. No harm, cleared it out and it never came back

It actually came higher than the "3pm" setting, I turned it back

Supra Specific version, where your resistor is mine had another chip, this is after I lowered the dial:

Already had tried that and no difference, CEL and bad idle like the MAF was being cut off.

That would be kind of problematic, even though the price is low I still would expect a new unit. When mine arrives on Monday I'm not going to break it open and adjust. If it has issues again I'll call Burger Motorsports and get them to rectify it and give me one they know works.
So I ordered one and got one where there is no resistor and it has a chip. Is this the incorrect one?

Edit to add: emailed Burger, they said it’s correct.

Just installed it, let it warm up driving around, then gave it the beans. No CEL, and a good amount of power! Definitely breaking much more traction than before, and even rolling in 3rd it’s got a fair amount of power added. I have an AA catted dp and power felt smooth.

It came in the max setting, but since I only have 91, turned it down to 3 pm.

I ran mine on max the entire time I owned it. I clarified with BT when I ordered it. The difference in “3PM” and “Max setting” was the need to make sure you are running 93 and not 91. So if you have 93 max it out if 91 I’d stay in the 3PM setting. It’s 3lbs boost vs 4.5lbs according to what BT told me.

It’s a good affordable device but eventually you’ll want to tune the car, it’s cool but when you finally step up to the tuning it’s a whole new car. Good thing is there’s always someone to pass yours on to and to move to the next step of your hearts desires.

Pic with arrows of min and max for anyone new, just make sure to not exceed the max area as you can damage the device.

the blue thing is the resistor, its set to 3pm if you notice
You're all good, you wouldn't know there is an issue till you run it, the resistor not being there was just a hardware revision. The real issue is it was programmed with the from firmware from the factory and they resolved that.

I was referring to the resistor I circled in red. We have a newer revision (2.1+) that doesn't have that there anymore.
