Disregard the title/content of the video, but the relevancy starts at 1:28. Is this the clunk you hear?

No it sounds different. It sounds like a lower tone. I’ll try to get a recording of it when I can. You can also feel it under the car, like the wheels are slipping

Hey thanks fore replying!

When I had it installed, they re-used the tophats. I do have the OEM ones. I have only tried jacking the car up, removing the wheel and turning the springs.

Now it feels weird, like it feels like it's the driveshaft or axles that is slipping or have play. Happens at low speed and when the car jolts forward, I hear a clunking sound.
The Ohlins attach to the vehicle’s top hats (upper mounts) by reusing the OEM upper mounts. If reusing the previous owners top hats for say camber adjustments (pillow-ball mounts), they need to be designed to do so with the Ohlins. Do you know if your current ones are compatible?

Hopefully they are. They were the stock ones that came with the car.

Gotcha. I took it as you have them in addition to what they are attached to. My bad…

Did you change the height? Have other adjustable parts that may not like the new settings. I’d jack it up and move the wheel around (two person job), and see what’s moving that shouldn’t be. If y’all haven’t done that already.

We did raise the front a little bit higher than it was before (H&R Lowering Springs before).
I agree, it might not have liked that. OEM End links are the weakpoint on this car no?

They are meant for the geometry of the OEM suspension. Why it’s best to get ones that are designed to articulate better with an adjustable setup.

that' the main reason I did not want to go with Ohlins, did not want the headeach of pairing ajustable camber plates with the shock.

They should offer an option with camber plates, makes no sens to me to not offer camber plates for a coilover that is supposed to be designed to take track work...

Good point. Price, name and place to start is what got me.

However, now I believe they offer many different options. When I 1st got them, Vorschlag was the only option, w/out adapting them yourself - like Sean (Evolution) did.

If only people knew how easy it is to make the Verus ones work....

Here you go peeps. Take this to your local machine shop and have them whip out a pair.

For someone looking to run this setup, besides obviously the coilovers, what else would I need at a bare minimum to ensure a successful install and stay within OEM alignment specs (car is mostly street, only 1-2 track events a year so don't need a super aggressive alignment).

Very informative thread, but just seems that there is a lot of mixing/matching different parts.

From my experience, I think only adjustable front end Links and adjustable rear toe arms. Eventually LCAs for more neg camber up front as needed, depending on your level of driving (how fast you can go). You can always do more but that’d be the best place to start.

Forgive me if I missed it but what kind of preload are people running on the rear with swift and swift helpers? The swift main is 180mm

I honestly think the issue is that most people/shops dont really give the clocking a second thought. Yes, it will look fine with the steering wheel straight but with it clocked wrong, they do hit. There is no clocking tab like on the factory struts so it takes a bit of trial and error to get it right, especially with thicker links.

@razorlab do the MCS have a clocking tab? Yours seem to be clocked about the same as mine.
I was successful with installing the SPL endlinks on my ohlins going off your information. Thank you Evolution!

FL clocked at 2
FR clocked at 10

I've had the Ohlins on for a few days now and the car feels great. Stock height. Off to the track soon to see how they feel there
