Hey look, Motul 8100 X-CESS 5w40 is in the list as approved oils by BMW. The same oil I use and the same oil people cry about as not being approved. Weird...

Nobody knows how to use the search function. We will always and forever have new oil threads started.

Same thing goes for it seems like 90% of the threads started in members market place. Nobody knows how to read the rules and hardly anyone posts a picture with their username and time stamp/date on a piece of paper

What type of oil should I use in my 2021 Supra????

50% 0w20 C5 Supra and 50% Shell V-Power Diesel. Diesel keeps the engine sludge free and is a great lubricant. Since 21 has some oil consumption if any excess diesel makes into the combustion chamber, you want it to auto-ignite easily just past the ringlands, it puts extra pressure on the rings to reduce oil consumption and best of all, about 50lbft more torque when this happens. You just don't know when it will happen, kinda like waiting for the MKV Supra to return.

BMW with the B58 engine lists 0-20/ 0-30/ 5-30/ 0-40. Castrol has the 5w-40 oil with the BMW LL-01 right on the container.

The oil I‘ve been using says it’s compatible with BMW LL-1 but isn’t on the list!? Anyway the Blackstone reports always come back fine.
