does anyone know if there's a difference in the installation between the auto and manual Supras for the BM3 flex fuel kit?

found this detailed video, but doesn't mention anything about the transmission.


I ask because I know the MHD kit says auto only, and the Fuel it kit requires different wiring for the Manual transmission.

BM3 kit wires in behind the dash. MHD wires in the engine bay. Since the wire harness for the transmission in the engine bay is different, MHD is different between the two.

Since the BM3 kit connects to CANBUS via the BDM inside the car, you'll have no problems.


The most popular plug-and-play MHD kit connects to PTCAN2 on the auto transmission plug; however, that's not an option due to your transmission and because BM3 currently does not support PTCAN2 for flex fuel—perhaps that will change at some point.


MHD does make a version for your car, but I'm not sure if it's as plug-and-play as BM3's.

I don’t know if it’s the same or not, but I’ve installed it on my MT following the same instructions on that video 100% and it works fine.

I asked MHD ans was told they do work. You would to get MHD FlexFuel kit from www.bimecu.com, an Open Wire option. They have a wire diagram should where 3 wires need to be connected to 2 of ecu plugs.
