Paint-matched CF fenders with an opening to evacuate heat from the wheel well. Cut the fender lining as well obv. I think the paint matching turned out pretty well. fitment is also better than i expected.

I'm at wits end trying to figure out how to get my exhaust valve to work. It stopped working (stays open) once i installed the Ark catback. I need to figure this out because the exhaust is pretty loud, and i'm sure my neighbours don't appreciate those 5:30am cold starts

The fact that it stopped working once i swapped out the exhaust would indicate that it's a mechanical issue. But that doesn't seem to be the case actually. We've checked the whole mechanism and it seems to be fine.

Used bimmerlink to open and close the valve. It would close for a second before opening back up. Spring issue? No, because when i tried doing the same thing when the car was off, the valve stayed closed. So it seems to be software related. I have a BM3 multimap on, and i even changed the exhaust flap setting to stay closed in sport mode. Nothing

Send help. I'll paypal anybody who helps me fix this $100. FFS

try with the valve off the exhaust but plugged in and open and close it with bimmerlink. Does it work? If so it’s the valve sticking or the spring in the wrong position. Might feel some resistance when it’s installed on the exhaust letting the ecu know which makes it stop opening and closing to not cause further damage to the flap actuator.

Really appreciate the suggestion man. I'll give it a shot. Fingers crossed!

Got these Paragon rotors on. 3.9lbs lighter per corner sounds nice

Yeah i've installed them along with the rotors....and so it's hard to isolate the impact of the lines alone. I can speak to the whole braking "experience" now that i have rotors, really good pads (endless mx72 plus), lines and a master cylinder brace. The braking overall feels much better. None of that makes my stop faster obv, but consistency and (quite importantly for me) feel is massively improved. Almost no sponginess/sloppiness. It's hard to know how spongy the OEM setup is until you change it. Considering the low cost of entry for lines and the master cylinder brace, i'd advise everyone to do them anyway.

I meant chopping up the OEM engine cover is cheaper than a new carbon fiber replacement :p

Never really liked the OEM steering wheel. Doesn't feel good plus it's a bit on the big side for my taste. So, operation airbag delete is about to commence. Opted for a 330mm Sparco flat bottom alcantara wheel.

Will have seats, harnesses and a hans device in the near future....but the car still sees some street time. So is this setup smart for the street? Absolutely not. It's dumb. But i'm not endangering anyone but myself, so i'm fine with it. I ride a motorcycle anyway, so i think the conversation about risk should start there well before anywhere else. Anyway my daily commute is 10 mins long, so again, calculated risk and all.

Also really looking forward to those sweet magnetic paddle shifters

Looks and feels great. Looks a bit bigger in this picture than it is in real life. It's a 330mm. Clicky paddle shifters feel as good as advertised

Don't really need to remove the steering wheel at this point, but that's going to change soon as i have seats on the way. So....got this 3D printed hook that hangs off the visor and holds the wheel.

Update on this. Have a "fix" now in place, thanks to the shop that i frequent. They suggested i try this exhaust flap control thing, and it worked. Still not ideal because it's something i should be able to do by toggling sport mode on and off, but i'll take it. I'm no longer the obnoxious guy in my neighbourhood. Kind of.
