in my experience, the AWE foiler is best at eliminating/minimizing wind buffeting at 100+. the amazon ones stop being effective at around 80mph. because these take on that same right angle shape, i ASSUME these will actually be effective at 100+ while remaining discreet

edit: not to be one of the forum old ppl, but kinda crazy there's a whole thread on this lol
I agree, the AWE wind foilers are the best option for eliminating the buffeting issue and look the best at the same time. Can hardly tell they are there but blow with the body and mirror

It’s a replacement mirror housing, not a tack on piece
That seems to make it even worse. Re tool for a whole new mirror housing and thats the best they could come up with!

I always forget I even have these since they blend in so well and work. I have the AMS ones. I put them on the first week in 2021 and only remember I have them when a thread like this comes up.

Exactly the same. threw the AMS ones on week 1 of the car, completely forgot wind buffeting is a thing until youtuber reviewers talk about it like it ruins the car entirely ?

I have to wonder why anyone would need to drive with their windows down at 80 MPH or higher.
Up to 40 or 50, I don't have a problem with buffeting. Windows are up, most of the time, anyway.

Because some of us don't own 45th anniversary editions and like to listen to our exhausts.

At 80 mph? At that speed there will be lots of wind noise, whether it's buffeting or not.

Have you driven your car at 80 with the wind buffeting solutions? I promise you, theres plenty of exhaust and turbo noises to be heard at those speeds when you modify your car.
We don't keep garage / mileage queens. We're not saving it for the next guy.

130+mph with the windows down is my happy place.

Every racetrack event I've ever been to requires windows to be fully down.

80 mph with the windows up has nothing to do with "saving it for the next guy". It's called enjoying a Playlist of 40+ songs.
Of course, I do occasionally put the window down at higher speeds so I can extend an Insta360 video camera-on-an-extension pole out it while on a roll to a cars&coffee event with 5 other Supras, but that's for a limited time.
Also, I have plenty of top-down fun in my MX5.

From the replies here I can extrapolate that the Boomer Blob has found another target to try and absorb, wind buffeting.
