This on hold thing has got people taking a step back. Not getting it early is losing luster to the reasoning of the launch edition. Toyota is f#$cking themselves. It's even got me thinking more and more of the new c8

I don't understand why this rollout wasn't executed better, but my guess is that somebody dropped the ball or the port/processing centers were not moving the cars through with any sort of priority. The other strange thing is how some dealers got cars but were not prepared with the new software to actually prep the cars. None of that stuff is complicated, it just takes planning and timing.

I half wonder if some of this is due to Toyota not having prior experience interfacing with the European shipping/port/processing routines, but these cars were built months ago and got to the US months ago, so there still was plenty of buffer to absorb stuff like that. The Supra I considered buying was built on 5/13 but won't be at the dealer until 8/1. In the same period, a BMW we recently bought went from build in Germany to customer delivery in Virginia in less than 3 weeks. Toyota seems to have built up inventory and got it to the US, then dropped the ball.

Hi Wild. I had a 91 nsx and really enjoy the mid engine. I always thought the nsx was not powerful enough so the 491 Hp c8 should fill that void. I also love the lines of the c8 which to me is similar to the nsx lines. And from what I seen and gather from the web the interior is much better in c8 than the past where the interior was inferior. I am not in a hurry and the down is refundable. I have a 2011 m3 with only 25k molies on it so no hurry.

I donā€™t think many people here would mind at all if Supra were sold at below invoice due to competition. In fact I like the sound of that as someone will will buy a new one anyway :)

Maybe bad for Toyota, but as long as I get mine:D I also hope I donā€™t see one on every corner like a Mustang, Camaro or Corvette, etc. Seeing a ton of e92 M3ā€™s on the road now as they become more attainable. When I think about it, I am right in the middle in regards to how ā€œsuccessfulā€ I want the Supra to be. Successful enough to eventually have different variants but not enough to see one everywhere.

I still remember when I was in college and the 350z came out. It looked nice until everyone and their grandma had one. Hope the Supra doesnā€™t become that down the road

these freaking dealers are insane. In Miami itā€™s the same shit they want 88k for the LE.. meanwhile I have a bunch of sales guys calling me and Iā€™m like f that keep it for that price. Iā€™ll wait until the hype dies down

Hopefully folks aren't backing away because of a 1-2 week delay. Shoot, if it's to improve the port inspection process, delivering a car with minimal items on the "We Owe You" form, I'm OK with that. I am extremely interested in what it will actually do to the price of an LE though. It could go 3 ways:

1) the LE prices actually go up when the Premiums are next to them at the lot or
2) the Premium Prices actually go down and the LE stays at MSRP
3) the LE and Premium both go down

There has to be something that separates them price wise; saying the Premium and LE are both "MSRP" seems impossible if they are sitting right next to each other.
