So I dug in a bit about this. Does not support custom code, so no MHD+ or BM3 custom capabilities like map switching, flex, etc.

FEMTO still the way to go for that.

Interesting. I was made to understand that after their procedure your DME would essentially be the same as a 2020 DME, therefore you could simply flash any customrom items, or even use ECUTEK.

The way I understand it is since both BM3 and MHD basically inject custom code at the time of flash, there needs to basically be code already on the DME to accept that. Which is why you have to tell FEMTO which platform you are going to use when doing an unlock.

Basically the same as when FEMTO was doing the "light unlocks" at the beginning that would only accept normal BM3/MHD flashing, with no custom code. You can still tune the car but can't have true flex fuel, map switching, boost target, etc.

FWIW, if I keep the Supra, ill be doing this sometime in Q1. I need to go back to Femto anyways to flash customrom, so im just waiting for a few people I trust to try this service, then Ill do it.

It's been confirmed that it can't run BM3 and MHD so it's some kind of weird in-between that is definitely not a full unlock. From the post on the facebook group "Toyota Supra MK5/MKV Owners Club".

Yes... MHD are his initials.

What a lot of people don't know is that a lot of these custom code solutions are a bit hacky, and when you do it that way, things like this can happen.
