My dealership gave me dates of 9/18 - 9/24. Just enough time to get her home and into winter storage yeah! -_-

I am both happy and annoyed. I am sure it will be better once I am in the car. Lets see if the dates hold.

They also had a couple of steering issues. Saw video on another forum. 1 of which was complete steering loss. Mine was supposed to be here 9-3 to 9-9 and never showed either can’t get any explanation.

That one was BS, if it's the dyno one from Texas. They tried to dyno it, f*cked up and now are blaming the car.

Not sure if it was the Texas one or not but they tore rack apart and it had no grease in it but replacement did. I’m just sick of waiting. Original arrival was July 26th.......

I'm really curious to know what happened to all of these cars, whether something happened during shipment to the U.S. or whether it was inherent issues from the factory that were being discovered for the first time at port during inspection. My car is one of the later LE models (produced in late May) and I haven't had a lot of the issues that many others have been complaining of on here.

Yeah, that guy didn't know what he was talking about, there is not supposed to be grease inside that section. The only grease that would be visible is what's used to lube the o-ring seal on the case. One rack had the grease cleaned up, the other didn't. It's not the epic failure the guy is making it out to be. Pity this kind of nonsense on social media has now been taken as fact.

I also happen to believe they had a simple EPS motor failure but then fuc$#ed the gears up by not re-learning the rack to the new car and setting the limits. I wouldn't normally side with Toyota service on this, but I think they saw this hack job a mile away and were justified denying warranty.
