This is the first car I've purchased at a stealership so I didn't get an amazing deal, but here are the details:
2021 Absolute Zero 3.0 Premium
56k + Cali taxes, so about 62k OTD
Safety Package + PPF

Down payment: $0
APR: 1.9% for 60 Months
Credit Score: 799
I financed through Toyota's Financial Services since their rate beat my credit union's.

I thought putting any money down on a loan in this market would be wasteful, but revisiting that logic I realized I messed up by not taking a 72 month loan.

South Coast Toyota in SoCal tried to rip me off by attempting to pocket the $1000 manufacturer's discount Toyota put out. They told me the car's MSRP was 58k, 57k after discount, when really the MSRP was 57k but 56k after discount.

I will never recommend buying a car there lol.

I bought the car in April '21, but I've seen the deal multiple times, and even saw 0% at one point in 2020. Not sure how frequently it comes around though.

I'd wager 1.9% isn't coming back for a while, and we'll definitely never see 0% again on these cars. COVID be crazy

I was able to get 1.9% through Bank of America in Sept. Not sure if its still available. At that time Toyota Financial wasn't even close.

I had the same experience with BOA- was offered 1.9% - and Toyota Financial was the highest. We do, however, have an existing relationship with BOA through Merrill Lynch. Ended up just paying cash so there's no loan to settle up on when I bin it on the track.

I got mine used with 29k miles from a smaller dealership in Indiana. It was 54k OTD with a 4.99% APR. Based on the research I had found that’s about the normal for a “new/ sort of used car” the used car rates were closer to 9% based on what I had seen so I did not have to many complaints. I was also zero down and a ~750 credit score and only 3 months at my current full time career job.

Bofa currently offers new dealer at 2.14%, used dealer at 2.34%, private party at 5.34%

Obviously, this is for great credit and before any APR deductions based on your Bofa banking status.

My local credit union is still offering 1.74 percent for up to 60 months. Must have great credit for that rate.

I got 2.19%/72 months through Truist. If I pay only the minimum that's about $3k in interest through the life of the loan which is peanuts. Money is too cheap to borrow now a day's to give up that equity when you could stick it in S&P500 for 5 years and get a lot more than 2-3% returns.
