Good enough time for the next oil change and install it as the car is lifted.

the 3-bolt version is now discontinued.

I haven't installed my 3-bolt on the Z4 yet, variety of life-in-the-way reasons but am certain it'll fit. Another Z4 owner has made the 4-bolt work by replacing one of the bolts in the factory bracing with a shorter one so that it cleared. FYI for any additional Z4 owners, or FE Supra owners.

It's kind of the opposite. The brace keeps things locked in place to reduce the wear and tear.
