Can you help me understand what the "gear whine" would be from? That sounds like something I wouldn't want to hear

You can barely hear it - it's %100 worth it anyway. I swear the car hooks up better when I mash the gas in 2nd and, when they do spin, feels way more controlled/controllable.

100% worth it. I only BARELY hear it off throttle at 47-50mph. But I drive with no music on mostly. Let me put it this way, my wife has never noticed it. You'll be fine. The pros far, far out weigh the tiny con. Plus there's a sweet logo on it.

Unless you drive in complete silence with no music and the windows up, the gear whine isn't really an issue. Even then, it's not that much louder over stock. More just a very faint whine that you learn to tune out pretty quickly

If you listen to music, you won't even hear it
