I'm sure I'm not the first person to have received a survey from "Toyota HQ" (it was a toyotaquality.com email address), but I just wanted to see what others' experiences had been with this. I took the time a while back to thoughtfully go through and provide answers to the survey and give them my honest thoughts, both good and bad. There were many things (e.g., wind buffeting, squeaky brakes, grabby windshield wipers, lack of in-cabin storage space, etc.) that I wrote detailed "complaints" about and provided links to relevant threads on this forum to show that I'm not the only person experiencing these issues. I did not mentioned anything trolley in my survey about "improving" the transmission by making it a manual or moving away from BMW parts, but I did express my concern (and experience thus far) that Toyota service shops have no idea how to work on this car and parts take forever to get in.

I wasn't expecting anything from it, but they just gave me a call today to thank me for my input and that said that they are grateful for the detailed information about what they can improve. I'm curious as to whether anyone else has had a similar interaction and, ultimately, whether our feedback does help improve future versions of the Supra - especially as a lot of these issues are pretty low-hanging fruit.

I did receive it as well and like you, tried to provide as much detail as I could. Not sure if they gave me a call. Lately, if my phone Caller ID doesn't provide any names, I don't answer and if they don't leave a VM, I ignore them..

Who did they say they are? I mean is it some poor fella just cold calling people or did it sound like someone who actually cares and in position to do something about it? doubtful, but you never know :)

I received the survey and filled out the info too. I didn't comment too much because I've only driven the car 500 miles. My 2 major complaints was the wind noise with the windows down and the awful sounding $500 upgraded stereo. Other than that, I'm still pretty impressed with the car

Sooo... I kept getting calls from a CA number late evening and what was weird was they were calling my work number which rings on my work VOIP app. A couple times it was after 10pm - The other night I was working late and I had some downtime - and the number rang about 9:40pm.

I answered - And it was a seriously long Toyota Survey on ownership.

Questions about -

Did I consider any other cars?
What other cars did I consider?
How important price, comfort, design, interior, exterior, performance, styling?
Was this an additional car? What would I use it for? How often would I use it?

But then there were also very interesting questions -

Like How important the Heritage of the Supra name was? If the partnership with other manufacturers influenced my decision and a flurry of similar questions.

I really felt like they were asking - Do you think it was ok we named it the Supra?

Anyone else receive a survey call? It was so long I had to stop him after 20 minutes - but he scheduled a follow up call to complete it.

They were sending out e-surveys a while back, in which there were similar questions and the survey was indeed way too long and detailed.
I'll speculate and say probably whoever called you had the survey in front of them and while you were genuinely explaining things, they were just clicking on a selection in the multiple-choice answer in the poll, lol. I hope I'm wrong. :)

I just got off the phone after a 30 min survey. Holy cow!! Asking what mods I got planned for it and etc.

And this isn’t a standard survey bc I have purchased 2 new Toyota’s previously and never had a phone survey like this ever.

The lady kept going on. Do you have a partner or married. Etc etc

I tried to complete the online survey, but was too long and I got frustrated with repeat questions.

Pretty much once they started asking profile questions, I shut it down.

If they want to ask how much I make and how old I am, they can send me one of those nice launch edition books if they want the answers.

Funny thing is the automatic is what made me want to get one. Drove a stage 4 clutch in traffic for the past 14 years. I had my fair share. Its nice to have somebody change the gears for a change for me. haha This thing changes gears so fast, its nuts. Paddle shifters are nice as hell too.

totally understand but for me it would not be a daily since i have 2 daily and they are automatics, i just prefer having a manual sport car whenever i go on spiritual cruises or track/autocross days here and there.

BTW nice dc5! i used to have one built for the track until some d bag stole it out of my garage.. till this day i still miss it very much.. fun and light car.

Thanks man. Trying to get rid of it now. I don't daily the RSX either. Thank god. lol
Yes, at 2800lb, I don't get traction until 4th gear. LOL Boost by gear helps alot tho.
I would love to see how it does against an A90 stock and Modded. 60 roll... lol

Got other automatic SUV's for daily use.
