So, with less than 2 weeks ownership, and 250 miles on the odo, On my way to the shop fri morning, cruising in the slow lane on the street, approaching a red light.. I look up in my rear view, and have a black x5 barreling DIRECTLY up the cars bunghole! Accelerating! Never hit the brake upon hitting me! I was doin about 35 ish, my guess is this fkr apprx. 80 ish. I had a mili sec to see/assess/maneuver. Literally scared the shit out of me! I instinctually swerved trying to avoid it but it was just coming in too fast! Seemed intentional! The person that hit me didn't even have an "oh shit moment, where I would expect some to at least have a moment of questioning themselves whether they're gonna stop or not" but this did NOT occur, just kept blasting on. The car went into limp mode, so I had to watch him flee! Eventually restarted the car, drove to the gas station on the corner (100 yards away)
And even more Lucky for me, a gentleman/angel saw what had occurred and followed the guy, and got a pic of the vehicle/plate as this pos was assessing his damage down the street, and then came back to find me, at the gasstation. There are cameras almost everywhere it occurred, so hoping the correct measures are taken if needed.
Interesting fact that occurred.. Since I had a possible location of the suspect, I asked the officer to go check.. While the officer drove off to the location I followed him out to the street, and as I'm walking to (the other side of the station, where my car was not visible) I had a guy approach me asking if that was my car? I was already on alert cause my gut instinct immediately said that's the mthrfkr right there! So I asked him, what car? he said that was u in the accident no? Of course I'm thinking how TF do u know? So I say ya, my car. He then offers me collision repair, and gave me his business card.. What are the odds of that??? weird! And the way the incident occurred just seems way too fishy! I then go to the witness and ask him if that's the guy??? He says maybe very possible. But now he's wearing a beret. Who TF wheres a beret, it didn't look right with his outfit! anyways, so I took a pic of that plate as well..
I filed a police report, have the make, model and plate on suspect vehicle. Took a pic of the vehicle that rolled up asking if I needed collision repair, gave all info/card to officer. Reported to ins. Have a spot for repair, spoke with the adjuster, working on finding a lawyer, and possibly seeing a doctor, so I believe I've done all I can, I just hope they put in some work and find out who or y or wtf! whether its just some drunk pos, maybe the dealer was trying to get their car back by having it totaled, or ins scam with this collision guy.. Praying to find out!
I would like to say that this car handled this rear impact way better than I expected! Like I said I was cruising 35ish, and this POS SOB was flying up my ass with the quickness! My guesstimate is entirely way above the speed limit and accelerating! =(
