Awesome, I’ll definitely keep the Visconti kit in mind when the time comes :)

What’s the recommended break in period before tuning/supporting mods?

lmao I’m getting anxious and I’ve only put in about 500 miles. That’s good enough, right?
We tune them daily right off the showroom floor. Lol.

Absolutely no need.

1. You dont want to run over ~E50. The stock fuel system is going to max out here. You can run higher ethanol percent, but you will only make less power.

2. With flex fuel, you have 1 tune file. That 1 tune file will automatically compensate for all ethanol percentages accordingly. Regardless if its needing to add timing/fueling or reduce, based on your ethanol content. From E0-E100.
E0-E100 meaning I can have a E50 tune and run 91oct however often I want?

If I’m looking for more power I’ll pull the trigger on a Pure 800 Turbo. With an E50 blend, do the fuel injectors/ fuel pump need to be upgraded?

Thanks!
Curious as well.

Indeed, just at reduced power vs the e50-ish area.
So one would never need the ability to swap maps on the fly. Would a 91oct dedicated tune be better if one was to run 91oct a majority of the time?

You have 1 tune. The flex fuel sensor tells the ECU how much ethanol is in the tank and that 1 tune can fully adjust all on its own regardless if you put 91 or E50 in the car.

You can have a 1/4 tank of 91, be driving along and see an ethanol gas station, stop in and fill up and keep right on riding as the tune will adjust itself. The car is now making a bunch more power.

Would this void warranty in any way? I’m reading you need a tune after installing the flex fuel sensor. Wouldn’t the tune itself be detected if they car needed to be service at the dealer?

It would absolutely void the warranty.

How much boost would your flex tune be making with e50 in the tank? Is there a power difference between your flex and a dedicated e50 tune assuming the same fuel?
