Hi guys so recently while driving my car started smoking hella white clouds from the exhaust. Parked It . Checked coolant , still hulk green. Assuming it was turbo. No boost whatsoever ran the codes and got a couple O2 sensor codes. No engine codes. Oil level was dropping And also oil filler cap was a little smoky. Exhaust had oil on tips as well. Pretty sure turbo is gone. Anyways. Should replace the turbo with a PURE 800? Mind you I was pushing a very aggressive map as a daily on e50. Will this turbo just be an overall better option? Anything I should know about before buying? Or while installing? Will I need to upgrade anything else ? Currently have catless dowpipe, exhaust, chargepipe, and intake. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks :)

How long did you run it like that before the turbo blew up? Iā€™ve been considering what to do on my car and knowing how long I have before I blow my turbo is a consideration. Granted I donā€™t think Iā€™d run my car in my race config all the time.

Yes, will also give you conservative 500-520whp on pump gas for a daily driver (Similar to E50 tunes but less torque)

Ethanol will do 600whp+

Been running it for close to 3 months now with no issues

I was dailying on e50 for the past 4 months on a less aggressive tune. I went aggressive maybe a month or 2 ago.

Thanks ! Iā€™m glad youā€™re not having issues with pure 800. If my dealer doesnā€™t wanna work with me at least theyā€™ll confirm whatā€™s wrong with it. And I can fix it somewhere else

I had some serious spiking issues when I ran e50 with stock turbo. I definitely would've blown something up if I didn't have it brought within spec.
I mustā€™ve had the same. Giving I was on a kill map I knew the risk going e50-55. Just didnā€™t know It was gonna be this quick. Also dailying this map was probably the mistake. If I go pure then Iā€™ll definitely just stay on a conservative map for daily

From what I understand, the pure's are pretty robust. I can think of a few people running upward of 30psi reliably. If you plan on going pure eventually then I would just upgrade now and save yourself the headache of dealing with the dealership.

We sold hundreds of Pure Kits, They are second to none in terms of reliability and support

Awesome! Thank you guys. I would really go to Toyota just so they can scan the car. My codes are o2 sensor generic codes. I do know Toyota is the only one with a certain scanner for the Supra. Even tho Iā€™m pretty sure itā€™s the turbo I would like confirmation. I would definitely tell them not to update the ecu. I have ecutek but havenā€™t set it up on my pc. Do you guys know if I can run the codes with ecutek Bluetooth pro ecu app?

In for updates on what you find out/decide to do. Iā€™m stock now but very interested in running an e50 map or true flex fuel tune (93-e50) but if it canā€™t be done in a safe/conservative manner on the stock turbo Iā€™m going to lose interest, at least until a turbo swap or whatever other supporting mods.
