Just a heads up on the 2021 your going to have a OBD locked DME and you'll need to have somoene unlock it for OBD writeability to use with MHD. I haven't used MHD my self but I don't see why it wouldnt work with a ustom tune from a tuner that actually knows how to define the ecu them self. I...
I am one state over and offer unlocks. I may be going over to California to visit my friends over at CSG to work on some projects. The are a bit south of you. I don't currently do unlocks for MHD but I may start offering the service. I do currently offer unlocks for EcuTek though and do them...
I don't know anyone in that region honestly. I could talk to Rhett if you didn't want to do the flashing your self and see if he would assist in doing it. I am sure he has a dyno he could use if you wanted to dyno tune it. (if you were wanting a tune from us). I also try to take the time to hold...
No,
I don't know of anyone in idaho that has experience tuning Supras. You will likely want to work with someone remote, even if it is a remote dyno tune or such. These are not simple cars. He does however fabricate downpipes and such for the platform using some awesome GESI cats. =D
The higher compression with premium grade fuels such as ethanol is more of a benefit, correct. Ive tried to tell people that were waiting for the 2021 this... You will get better turbine response (transient), and higher power output.
I am more than happy to chat with you on options. I will be working on full proper flex fuel working on larger turbos (there are extra challenges when doing with this, as you wlil need additoinal injectoin beyond the factory fuel system). If you purchased in the recent months your ECU is likely...
Yea you are getting 500hHP on race gas. yet you are likely at 450-475 at redline. Vs the pure will hold 500HP 5,500 - 7,000 RPM on poor quality fuel. And capable of doing even more on premium fuel. So its not so disapointing when you consider it is only the cost of 300 gallons of race fuel...
I haven't worked on one yet my self. However I have worked on the M340i which seems to have most of the same maps. And the Z40i also has the same engine. When it comes to tuning that engine its literally the same ecu, same mapping.... But the engine has been dialed back to be safer and less...
The settings for the spray would heavily depend on your goals. I have people running mild meth on #3 nozzles for just a bit of octane. And I have had those that want to run a #5 on 100% meth to get as much as possible. My default on a stock turob is to have people run a #5 50/50 starting at 7PSi...
You will get a check engine light for a Pure 800. I would recommend getting a propper tune. As well sa the car will attempt to manage the boost but it might not be as responsive, and the car will lean heavily on the throttle to regulate the boost pressure.
As for a heat exchanger I am not using...
If you have a tune try removing it and see if it stil happens. If your car falls out of its params it could turn on traction control, disable cruise control, etc.
I dont want to be quoted for any exact numbers. I have seen 600WTQ to hold under constant pull (actual, not SAE), but during shifts I am still doing testing to see what we can squeeze out. I star to slip around 600WTQ ( again actual not SAE ) on heavy shifts but I have been makin tweaks and...
If it is tuned appropriate I would say it should be on the safe side. But I have seen people running near stoich AFR with crazy timing obviously not understanding the concept of cylinder temperatures.
The car was meant for 25% so i am not too bothered running 50%. I have ran 50+% ethanol for about 8-10k miles so far and havent had issues. Most modern cars dont have issues with the lines, and the filters seem fine. But some of the early gen DI pumps did struggle with the higher ethanol. But...
Yeah I make 700/700 wheel on my pure 800 with E54 (thats what was my pump typically has).
I was making around 525/645 or so on my stock turbo with e50 and meth.
