Most people are just going to daily drive the crap out of both of these things, but if it's such a big problem then it's a good thing the Z is priced way low so people can get some wider rear tires.

Are people still on the whole open diff base Z... but zero complaints about the same issue on a more expensive 2.0 Supra. ?

That's only partially true according to all the insider people. Yes, R&D had started way back in 2019 with several working prototypes according to Tada. However, it was stuck in limbo. Not too long ago, I believe even @A70TTR said something along the lines of the new Z being the final driving...

This! I have said in the past that they should have kept the 332hp B58 around as a base model. Give it the spring suspension, mechanical diff, manual seats from the 2.0, and call it a day.
