Well that sucks I thought maybe someone would have a shot at one without markup. That doesn’t exist anymore.

So shady to post the dealers price then tell callers there’s 15k markup.

yeah i actually saw a local dealer of mine get one and Ik they are a msrp-only dealer. I called to confirm my deposit since I am #1 there. Turns out they sold it to someone else "awhile" ago and that the list means nothing. Sucks, but that's just how it is.

Yea when I was searching for my A91-CF the dealerships wouldn’t give straight answers and wanted to play games or ask me to settle for something else. If they were able to get me one they couldn’t tell me a price until they had it. I was fortunate to only get hit with 5k over I felt with the prices out there. There’s a local one here with under 1k miles for 85k and it’s the phantom not the absolute I was set on. I’m happy my hunt for the car I wanted is over and I’m truly enjoying the purchase.

Yeah I'm paying 5k over for my A91-MT in CULater. Not the happiest kid at the park, but definitely content with having 1/500 lol

I'm really impatient for my supra. I've been driving a 2000 camry for 20 fken years and now covid, supplychain, steel plant in Ukraine, chip shortage, joe biden and blah blah blah = 10 to 15K markup on my BMW with fake vents...........but ffs its such a beautiful car that i need in my life.
20 yrs of patience all to pay 10-15k markup :D will it be worth it in the end? As long as you're happy with your decision.

Darn pandemic got us all rethinking our mortality and second guessing why we've been saving/driving our old boring cars and here we are now with unprecedented demand. I'm guilty of this as well in pushing forward my "sports car" purchase, but I'm still a stubborn bastard and have been holding out on paying any markup (GR86 & MT Supra deposits since April).

I'm kind of in that same boat, as my current car is 15 years old and I've been looking to replace it for going on four years now. At first it was because the cars I wanted to replace it with were simply not being made yet and I wanted new and not used... then the pandemic hit and everything just went nuts.

I finally made up my mind this year and put a deposit down in July hoping to get my Supra before 2023, but everything the dealer is telling me is saying either December or 2023.

I've passed on several local marked up Supras, as well as passing on a Nitro Yellow 2022 auto my dealer offered to have brought in for me from another out of state dealer. But I figure if I've waited this long I can wait a little longer to possibly get -exactly- what I want. My dealer assures me as soon as the 2023 manual Nitro Yellows start flowing to our region that I'm all but guaranteed to get an allocation for one... the question is when.

Really my only worry now is that by the time my Supra shows up interest rates will be through the roof and my current car will be back to being worth nothing.

Jesus Christ. I feel like pulling the trigger on this manual cu later grey supra with a 15k markup. 75k and 81-82k when I'm done with.........god fken damnit I can't man.............or can I?........I just want the manual cuz of the resell value when I put it up on the market 3 to 4 years from now. By that time the market will go back to normal. So I take a 25% loss on MSRP plus another 15k......... Fuck me! What to do
If the question is how much blow have you done today, the answer is 'yes.'
