According to motoring.com.au, the A90 Supra is going to be priced under 60,000 for the 2.0-litre version and under 100,000 for the 3.0-litre version. I think those are Australian currency. Under 60,000 for the 2.0-litre version sounds fine; but the 3.0-litre version sounds too steep at under 100,000. 70,000-80,000 sounds like a good deal for me, considering itā€™s a Toyota. What do you guys think?

Keep in mind, the suggested price could be in Australian dollars and not American. So 100,000 AUD is approx. 74,300 USD which is close to the US values we have seen posted on this site.

Yes, the suggested price is based on Australian dollars. $74,300 is still quite expensive for the 3.0-litre I6, even more expensive than direct competitors like the BMW Z4, BMW M2, Jaguar F-Type, Porsche Cayman, and the likes. But if it will be a GRMN version, with that price, then thatā€™s ok.

Don't compare usd and aud for cars - it's not a simple conversion.

A 60K USD car roughly equates to 100K here

Also, they pulled those numbers from me. I had had a gut feel where the car would sit locally based on what's said here.

So I wouldn't read anything into any of the Aussie reports. :)

First it was 45k, then 54k, then 62k, where are we going to end up at Toyota?
My guess, $67k for a top trim model. However, don't expect to leave the dealer paying anything less than $75k. Hard to believe I know...

Well, that sounds quite possible especially if you start to add options, thatā€™s where itā€™ll start to increase in price. There were rumors that there would be variants, particularly the 3.0-litre I6, that could get additional 50hp boost from some sort of electrification. If thatā€™s the case, that could possibly be one of the top trims.

In Australia an M2 is 100K
A Cayman 120K
A jag F type 120K

Hope this helps
When people hear these brands like BMW, Porsche, or Jaguar, the initial reaction would be, that the car is sporty, luxury, and....EXPENSIVE! But when people hear the brand Toyota, first thing comes to mind is reliable and affordable. We should not be confused by that. If Toyota wants to make it sporty yet luxury, Lexus is there to serve.

Just a note: Converting prices between regions is almost always inaccurate. Different countries have different taxes/economies and currencies/exchange rates which can wildly skew prices from region to region.

As Ryley mentioned, the best guiding factor would be just see how much competing cars cost for a rough estimate. We won't get any more specific information than that into the cars official debut.
