A91-MT Top speed is limited

I've done limited searching for the top speed on the MkV MT and found no one posting about it, only that the AT is limited to 155 MPH. Today I have found in 6th gear at WOT a soft limiter kicks in at 6000 RPM, while my A91 was indicating 163 MPH. I have no video, picture or third party equipment to support my claim, but if anyone is looking for a number from a random guy on the internet, there it is.

Cold, ambient air was likely 30 to 35. My tires probably werent fully warmed up yet, but the rest of the car was at operating temperature. I was on a long and lonely stretch of flat asphalt, it was level ground.
I started pushing it at 100mph and honestly did take too long to top out from there. I didnt exactly count but it probably took about 10 to 15 seconds from 100mph to reach 163.

All bmw’s and M cars have been limited to 163 for years, from my auto 2020, to my sisters x6 m50i, my buddies g80, etc.

The 2022MY+ was changed from 155 to 163 without announcement by Toyota. I read an article about this a few months ago.

Bless you for testing this. I haven't gone faster than 155 and that was in a 2008 STi (on the autobahn, of course). To be young and have some cajones....that STi surprised me at how stable it was at that speed but I imagine the Supra feels pretty darn stable in comparison up there....just guessing that if only for the 15+ years of tire and other technology it has over that STi.

Every Supra and every BMW is speed limited to 163. Has been this way for a very long time. It's like the first thing tuners remove.

Wanted to test this today in mexico. So a quick drive there today from michigan can confirm this was the case.
