A91 Spoiler on 7 month Back order?????

So who is driving their new A91 without a spoiler? ....I'M NOT!
Well, I just got a call from the selling dealership that my A91 is hitting port. But, he tells me the back spoiler will be a 7 month wait. He said it's coming from a different supplier and because of pandemic, it's on a 7 month back order.
He gave me two options 1. Take delivery of the car without the spoiler or 2. Wait till spoiler comes in before I pick the car up. If I choose number 2, it stays at port though. In that case how many bumps and bruises will it get.
Tell you what - driving a refraction blue without a spoiler doesn't sit well for me. Chose option 1 and I guess it's going into storage till spring. No winter time A91 driving in the east coast for me.
Anyone else hearing this???????

Not the only one. Others are questioning if the cars could still be delivered without the spoiler and installed later.

No problem man. I get this is super frustrating dealing with delays due to COVID, and now a shortage of CF spoilers? Weird.

Question is, will the sneaky dealers, after taking delivery without it, still honor and give you the spoil when it arrives?
Because, they may have to update the paperwork or the sticker to reflect the delivery correctly..

I'm waiting on my dealer to respond. I'll take the car, and just wait for the spoiler to arrive later. But I don't want to wait however many months till the spoiler gets fitted. I'll drive without it for a bit.

This is disappointing to hear. I want the A91 spoiler for my 2020 Absolute Zero GR. I don’t want to try any of the vendors making the duck bill spoiler based on all the negative reviews and poor fitment issues I’ve seen.

I would not want to risk the health of the battery letting it sit at the delivery center for 7 months... or flat spots on the tires.

Just came from dealer, my car is being shipped without spoiler and they'll take the price of the spoiler off. When it becomes available I can get it.

Was told by Toyota that the MSRP will be reduced by the price of the spoiler and when it becomes available in 2021, the price the MSRP is reduced by will be the price of the rear spoiler.

Not a fan of the A91 spoiler design anyways....I would take the A91 discounted without the spoiler and get one that looks better!

I think it's a shame they made it out of carbon fiber only to paint it black.

I thought so too, especially since the mirror caps are exposed CF. I'm going to see if I can get the spoiler exposed as well when the time comes.
