I don’t mind too much that it’s based on the existing Z platform tbh. The only thing the existing Z lacked (in my opinion) was a turbo motor and bigger brakes, which the upcoming car looks like it will have. The rest are bonuses. AMS has had some amazing results with the VR30DDTT, and considering the existing Z has a damn near bulletproof transmission, this new one will surely go up a level on strength in the drivetrain department.
Now we just need Mazda to bring back a true RX-7 successor. Good times!
