Dude- my question is what brand, what weight, and why? I am very much aware of BITOG. I have the original hard copy book on oils from BITOG. Must be around 15 years old when I had a few Porsche’s. Let’s participate and constructively challenge.

So I take it you have the dealer service your car.
Homie, I suggest doing some more research on some of the members here before spouting utter BS like that.

Also, you bumped like three oil threads. Pot meet kettle.

Here, let me help you out. What you need to do is create an account there. Then, start a thread called "B58 Oil Recommendations" and discuss your question there. Usually, someone with much more experience on this topic will respond to you. Do you understand this concept? Are you putting two and two together? Does that make sense? Judging from the way you're posting, it seems like you might be having trouble with computers or something. Would you like me to sign up for you?

I have been a BITOG Member for 20+ years. The B58 discussion focuses on oil weight. My question is what brand, what weight, and why. For example, I will 1st try Valvoline European 5w-30 because it is an SN grade low Sap’s oil with good anti wear additives package.(~1000ppm ZN,PO, 200 BO, 1000 ppm CA, and virtually MO.) I will monitor oil temperature, consumption, and the general feel as to how the engine runs at low and high rpm. If it feels good. I will have a VOA and UOA sample analyzed for wear metals at 1000, 2000 miles, …. If it doesn’t feel right, I'll drain and go to another oil like Mobil 1 ESP, Castrol Euro, Amsoil, motorcraft, …

I asked the question because of all the experience you all have with your Supra’s. Lots of folks are using liqui moly. Why?
