Really just depends on not only the dealer but if Toyota calls for checking what oil is in the engine if there is a failure. It does technically states in the owners manual that they only recommend 0w20 and 0w30, however, there are other oils that are approved in bmws owners manual running the same engine.
It really would be up to the manufacturer if they were to deny or approve a claim. It's always your call when changing something on the car since things can get denied over very stupid things and I've seen it happen before
