So today guys was a pretty sad day for me. Ive had my 21 3.0 supra since march 10th. Crazy enough it took me 2 months prior to even getting the car to nail down the exhaust. Because im the type that like loud an aggressive exhaust I decided to go with the Magnaflow Xmod. I mostly like this one due to its customizable parts depending on how you wanted the sound to be. Well I placed the order April 29th.....today I got a call saying it was going to be a slight delay. When someone says slight delay from the 30days you think 45......ohhhhh no...called them back (truck driver so try not to use the phone while driving even with my headset) an was told mid July. Um I dont know about you guys but thats not a slight delay thats one hell of a step backwards. Im not sure why a business doesn't keep these in stock considering the demand for them but guess Magnaflow just does things on their own terms.
I know you're frustrated but that's just the industry right now (as others have noted). Part of it is still being in recovery from the pandemic (materials and trying to get people to work instead of sit at home collecting more money than they would working). Part of it is demand. I have an order in with AWE right now and was told there is a 40 - 45 day leadtime. When I reached out, I was told they have 3300 exhausts in the production queue. I have an order in to aFe for F/R sway bars. Called them yesterday and was told the order is in production and will be ready June 18th. Best you can do is find a company that already has them in-stock rather than ordering direct from the manufacturer. I like the latter option, even with the delay, simply because it means you're going to get any design changes they put in place while you're waiting. These cars are fun to drive completely stock, so get what you want and enjoy it while you're waiting!

Catless DP will actually add more volume because your drastically increasing the flow an from turbo back it’s damn near straight. Only thing holding mine back a bit will be the resonators but that ls more about drone. If you check out a post on YouTube by Bros Four Speed it’s almost on par with the Magnaflow. Granted the xmod is interchangeable an is throaty and also maintain the valve but who knows maybe down the line I’ll end up going with the xmod later. Just couldn’t wait on it now since my vacation is based around my trucking schedule.
From my understanding, even a catted DP will add more volume (and rasp). I've not had either on my car, though, it's just what I've heard listening to videos on YouTube. I'm sure others here with these parts can comment.

Speed industry actually has the AWE track edition and the non res and res exhaust in stock. While its ok for others to wait thats not really an option that I have. Because of the economy ramping back up an summer basically here my official trucking season of running back an forth from the midwest to the west coast has started. So after taking my vaca June 5th-12th I won't be returning home till damn near Christmas...an no this is more of a choice to keep running an earning bonus money etc. The thing that disappointed me the most was Magnaflows website claimed 30 business days an having ordered it last month an not getting till July was a pretty nasty surprise. But just so you all know on here....as far as supply shortage....there really isn't one. Its just an excuse to jack up prices. Hell lumber is doing it an pretty much all except food producers are doing it. cant tell you how much stuff I see coming into ports that ppl say we are short on but were not....3rd party stores an middle guys are jacking up prices.

But going back to exhaust...I went with the AWE because its next in line..hell who knows maybe I can see about working with AWE as to change the pipe size a bit from 3 to 3.25 maybe who knows. Its the next best sounding. Borla was a runner up but after hearing about the tips discoloring and burning in, I cut that one quickly

Unfortunately, this isn't true. It's not that there is a shortage of 3.5 or 4-inch tubing (and no one is claiming that), it's that most of these are bent and welded in small batches, many shops/manufacturers by hand. There aren't that many Supras out there. Definitely not enough to design, build, and engineer machines to press aftermarket exhausts in bulk. . If 1000 orders come in, there are 4 welders working on it, and it takes a couple of hours each, well.. that takes time.

I hate to beat this dead horse, but waiting is definitely an option. Your car doesn't need an aftermarket exhaust system, you want one.

Apparently you are not understanding that I CANNOT wait due to my work. See I have to be on the road so you can eat. An since anything I order is shipped to my home…if I’m not their…you might as well hang a sign that says steal me I’m work X amount. You don’t seem to grasp the concept of what truck driving is like. Also when magnaflow calls me directly and says it’s a supply shortage along with me calling borla directly an hearing the same thing then I start looking at the overall picture.

Please stay in your lane. Moving goods all over the country from food, electronics, down to wood an cardboard is mine an has been for 6 years now. They have plenty of ppl at the shops but it’s down to a supply problem as I’m being told. Call every manufacturer yourself an 9/10 are going to say supply not lack of welders or ppl.

when I say I’m on the road for 5 months home 10 then put another 5 months THAT is my schedule and has been for a while now. I chose this job because I’m paid to travel all over the US so I don’t have the ability to be home every night an still make what I do being OTR vs Local. So when I schedule a vacation 2 months in advance an I’m told it’s going to be 4 months before I get what I ordered….then I go for another option which is EXACTLY what I did
