This post is really interesting. Assuming these “updates” will help with the computer glitches? I get tons of random thing. Just figure this BMW is quirky. Or so I’ve been told from other track peeps
If you have an old version, I guess the newer updates will improve different things (other than actual cars features, If they have released updates, supposedly some bug fixing has been done).

Found some time between the holidays to install the new version.
Here's what I've found in the new psdzdata files:

Toyota ISTA:
4.34.41S18T-22-03-535 (March 2022)
4.37.31S18T-22-07-550 (July 2022)

Looks to be a small revision increment, 535 -> 550.
Planning to do a ESYS compare on each ECU, when I get the time.

New version!
I hope someone is archiving the versions lol.
Kinda heavy at ~11GBs each.

Toyota ISTA:
4.34.41S18T-22-03-535 (March 2022)
4.37.31S18T-22-07-550 (July 2022)
4.39.34S18T-22-11-553 (November 2022)

550 -> 553.
Interesting description (translated) from this Insta post:

Got a new version of TOYOTA ISTA, check it out.
Programming data is in the November 22 edition, and it's similar to the LCI period, so will the manual Supra come with a diagnosis?

Also, a check to do evil.
Kinda wanna do that remote start on a YouTube channel....
FSC wasn't in, so it wasn't good ( <_<)

I’m planning to do the upgrade in the next few days.
My only concern: may never software (potentially designed for newer models) affect some features from the older models if the hardware is different? Or they were smart enough to create different softwares for different hardwares?

In ISTA, it will do a calculation on what is compatible with your specific car.
Very detailed, calculates all ECUs and ensures compatibility.
There's a before/after version before the start of the flashing/updating process.

Attempted to do the upgrade today. The amount of errors that kept appearing after clicking "Continue action plan" scared the s*** out of me and I decided to cancel the project. It kept be annoying about not readable battery voltage (connected to charger) and media devices (everything was disconnected). Given that the driving / car experience will not change by any means (yes, you get full screen carplay, but you also lose the split screen), the car will just stay the way it is :/

I had to work on fixing around ~3 errors before my car was able to do the update process.
If you clear codes through ISTA, you will have a small window of no errors before update.
Which will let you update.
This is kinda of why dealership dont like to update.

On the voltage, yes, the car is looking for above 13v i think (cant remember, error message will say).

It kept saying media were attached even if they were not. Tried to restart everything for 3 times without result, plus got one battery warning that didn’t appear anymore. So I was like: not risking this for bigger screen CarPlay only (which actually makes you lose the split screen )

This may be a silly question, but I didn't see anything specifically saying otherwise. Does installing the updates lock your ECU if it's currently unlocked?

Tldr - Yes, it gets relocked.
After update:
If ECU is pre 06/20 - needs bench unlock.
If ECU is post 06/20 - needs vacation to Femto.

So, I was just told that the software is all updated over the air now, no having to hook it up to a computer, read it and then update it. Can anyone shed some light if this is true or not?
