^^^ Just get the recall done lol
Are you referring to the recent DCM campaign? If so, that is not a recall, it’s a service campaign. I’m asking about ISTA for unrelated reasons and plan to remain on 03/2022 software in perpetuity.

It may have been released in July 2024, but iDrive is dated (24-03) March 2024.
Is this still the latest version show? Thx!

When trying to purchase gts or ista at 15 euro for 1 week each:

https://www.toyota-tech.eu/DiagnosticTools/Software/ISTA

it sends me to the Toyota log in page for techdoc-toyota.com and only gives options to buy GTS+ for $100 for a week and ista for $100 for a week. I feel like I'm missing something. Any advice is appreciated!

Edit: I realized that I need to go to the .eu site. It is down for maintenance through the 28th. Sigh.

For those already tuned folks that have done this, is it worth it? I only want it for the brake recall but then would just go get a new tune. Currently on EcuTek.

I'm in the same boat as @razorlab. 2019 DME S18T-19-07-555, never been updated since buying new (besides the tune).

I'm a '23 so i didn't notice anything other than the adaptation reset. Its worth a try since you're a 2020. You'll be able to bench unlock again. If i update, il have to send the DME's back to femto.

When it comes to the procedure for an ISTA update while you have a tune on the car, I'm not entirely sure. I'm on bm3 but would assume each platform has a factory reset option, which would allow you to ISTA update without bricking the ECU. I would reach out to ecutek and ask.

ISTA just writes over it. Won't brick. Well, didn't brick my BM3 flashed DME. However, it will update the DME ROM ID and you will need to have your tune updated to the new ROM ID. You will not be able to use your old tune. So don't do it right before you need a tuned car for something, like a track day. Because getting that tune updated might take you a couple days, or a month, depending on how fucking lazy and impossible to contact your tuner at the time is.

You will have to get the DME unlocked as well. I bought a Mission unlocker.

Ah, i see. Didn't know the old tune would need a ROM ID update
Oh yea that's right, its just an overwrite.
Yea "brick" was a wrong word. Which i usually associate with cutting power in the middle of the flash. I guess i was thinking corrupted, but that still wouldn't matter if its a wipe and reload.
