I’ll sell you a JB4 with Bluetooth, fuel sensor and wastegate connections for $250 shipped (in lower 48). Map 6 is a custom E35 tune for a catless mt car. It was on my final edition before I unlocked it. I had a Kenji “race” dp and had zero CEL’s with it.

Thanks for the offer, but not interested in the jb4. I know it’s not good out of the box for manual and would need a custom tune… if I go that route I’m going full unlock with custom tune.

Just for reference, I have an AA AFlow Cat on my 25' MT. Zero issues, no check engine light.
Not sure noting this so early is useful, but just installed my Aflow version as well a couple days ago, with no CEL. Considering there's no reset being performed and it goes from basically measuring the factory to the AA, that's something. Wonder if there are examples of other catted DP brands popping a code almost immediately after install........or seems like it could be 6 months, 1 year, 2 years later..........nonetheless, my data point.

They tune themselves to an extent. Modern cars are able to adjust within specified parameters. It's when you go outside these parameters (no cat, manufacturing defect) the CEL comes on.

Not a Corvette.

That is not what is happening. It's constantly running a check to see if the catalyst is within certain operating parameters. If it goes outside of that, for a specific amount of time, it trips an error.

That is not "tuning", that is monitoring.

Even with the sophisticated Neural Net knock programming, it's monitoring and running pre-defined checks/fallbacks/map transition logic, not tuning.

Even with the sophisticated PID framework across boost, cooling, oil pressure, etc, it's monitoring and running pre-defined checks/fallbacks/map transition logic, not tuning.

Correct, "tuning" isn't the word I should have used. "Adapt" is what I should have wrote.
