Those are sales numbers, not production numbers, probably very similar, but don't confuse them.Look at how many less supras are being made right now compared to 21 and 22.
I was thinking about this same thing this morning. However, if there's less available then you'll see less sitting around not pre-sold. So there's certainly still some demand, but hard to tell if it's at the same level as last year.Demand looks good to me when I do nationwide Supra search and MOST 3.0's (and almost all the manuals) are already sold before they even leave Europe.
Not many are buying a 2 seater sports car in this worsening economy. And the ones with money are going for porsche or above I think.I was thinking about this same thing this morning. The question I have is what will happen as the economy, housing, and car market continue to tank. Will we finally get back to a point where some Supras are unspoken for at MSRP? Or will Toyota just order less like they perhaps already have been this year.
Anecdotally a local dealer told me their most recent 3.0 Premium Auto allocation sat unclaimed for weeks at MSRP. Something they said never happened last year. So perhaps the shift in demand has already started.
Yeah. That's my hot take as well. Some people who aren't as worried about money because they have a lot of it don't necessarily have the Supra on their radar as much as a Porsche, etc.Not many are buying a 2 seater sports car in this worsening economy. Coupled by the waning sales of a car heading into it's 4th year of production. Looking at other sports cars sales data from the past, often sales start to decline in year 4. If people haven't bought a Supra (AT) by now, what have they been waiting for?Not many are buying a 2 seater sports car in this worsening economy. In my personal experience, yes.I have an order at a high volume toyota dealer in WI. However, I haven't seen any new Supra's come into the area this month or last month. Are there delays in production?
Seems like a lot of people have gotten bumped to the 07/15 vessel departure. Makes me wonder if there's been so little to ship that they've held on to things to fill up the upcoming boat. IDK.In my personal experience, yes.
I put my deposit down April 2022, first in line at my dealership. Finally got my allocation/vin early 2023 with the following info:
Build date: 12/13/22
Vessel Depart: 4/28/23
Vessel Arrival: 5/10/23
On 5/6, got another update saying everything was delayed about 3 months..
Vessel Depart: 7/15/23
Vessel Arrival: 7/25/23
