So I ran the car down to about w bars of gas yesterday. Did 2.5 gallon of e85 and that left me with filling 7.5 gallons of 93. Drove around for about 20 minutes messing around. After that started getting into and even my 11 year old son was like um thats way different lol. Can for sure tell she has more pull with that mix. Thanks for sharing this knowledge.

@ColonelAdama - Yeah, the unit I bought from BMS directly is the unit compatible with the Supra.

Happy to report that I didn’t experience any issues with the JB+ turned on max with 3.5 gallons of E85. Did about 15 pulls and each one was strong with no hesitation or what was most likely the ECU pulling timing.

The documentation that came with the JB+ mentioned that 91 was sufficient - I’d assume it was sufficient for the entire range of increased boost, but apparently not

Needless to say, I won’t be returning my JB+ now, so I appreciate the advice a lot - thank you!

The amount of power available with the dial turned to max is pretty crazy. It’s just enough to satisfy the itch, while being discreet about it.
Yup I would be the ECU is pulling timing under hard repetitive bouts of driving and the higher alcohol content is correcting whatever the ECU is seeing that it doesn’t like.

Probably mentioned and asked before, but jb+ turned to the max (4.5psi) safe? Anyone have any issues? premature wear on parts?

I think the worse that could happen is ECU will pull timing. I've set my dial back to stock position. Might even try a bit less.

Has anyone of you guys checked your max boost after using JB+? The reason I ask is you could be potentially making too much boost for the stock turbo longevity. I have a piggyback similar to the Jb+ called turbo transformer that has a range from 0-4 psi, and I have to keep it at 1.6-2 psi in order to keep max boost under 22 psi(20-21). However I have a catless dp(Armytrix), a 53% higher flowing intake system(AFE Stg 2) and a CTS chargepipe as my only mods. If I put my piggyback at 4 psi with those mods it will somehow show 24-25 psi max boost. I've also been running 25% e85 and 75% 93 in Georgia for 6 months straight which is 95.7-96 octane and love the combination.

This was one of the reasons I asked about engine issues. I have the HKS intake, downpipe and exhaust. And each piece in the instructions say it adds more air flow and all pieces together adds more power. Worried I maybe adding to much boost if I add any kind of piggy back unit.

Question is will you get an accurate boost reading with whatever digital tool you use for boost readout, i.e. Bimmerlink? I'm going to try this when I get my car back and get some Boostane as well. Seriously getting ready to pull trigger on Femto unlock at this point.

I've seen a peak boost of 22psi on my 2020 with jb+. And peak meaning a moment not sustained.
I thought you couldn't read true boost levels because the ecu would always be showing "stock numbers" because jb+ tricks the ecu by telling it that it's producing lower boost and the ecu compensates for it. So if stock boost is 14 psi, Jb+ says you're running at 11 psi, then ecu compensates for it.

Or what I read in other forums wrong?

Well its reading higher than stock so. :dunno: I am using OBDLink app and reader.

So is this product worth it for a little power gain or nah?

Here is my summary. Most people feel yes it is worth it. It is inexpensive and very easy install. Noone that I am aware of has reported any CEL or drivability issues. If you add a little E85 to the tank the gains are likely greater and may carry over to the track.
