MAP is a great option. Also uses a 400 GESI cell like the AA (likely the same exact CAT), and workmanship is insanely good. Also runs a wee bit cheaper. Doesn’t have a no CEL guarantee, though I’ve never heard of anyone getting a CEL with one. A lot of sponsors pushing AA - you know… carry their product….

MAP is sold at fewer vendors including at @Jesse DaBears 1fastsupra.com website as well as at maperformance.com (the makers).

I have AA and its great.

But to be truthful, there have been bad batches of AA that did throw CEL. The warranty is on the Cat and not the work. So pulling it on and off is on your dime. Some member was snake bit and had it happen a couple of times. And there was question as to the Bimmer Code crowd who turn on Sport+ and how that interacts with AA cat. But Sport+ not recommended the A90 so I'd code it off if you've coded it on.

None of this is unreasonable for a product like this.
I heard about the recent bad batches with AA catted downpipes. No CEL with mine knock on wood.

I went with powerneedy from Speedindustrys. It’s Gesi and like $200 less than AA. My ECU is overseas right now so I’m in the dark on sound or whatever. I did go catless first for $300 but with the SP1R I feel it’s a little to obnoxious for me. So basically with the powerneedy I paid $100 more for the AA and got to test both. Hope this helps. Btw I have a CTS catless for sale now with less than 100 miles.

Since people are staying AA is best. Which exhaust diameter would fit it the best? AA seems like it is a 4in diameter ? Would a 4 inch or 3.5 or stick with 3.15 OEM work better ? If I go smaller would I need to adjust ?

When companies are talking about the diameter of their exhaust, they mostly mean the mid-section. The connecting sections are all the same size, the same as stock, or else the exhaust will need custom downpipes to fit.

In terms of performance, all exhaust sizes will perform the same

Isn't there is a direct correlation between exhaust/DP flow and performance?

There are companies out there which make 4" turbo back exhausts which eliminates that 3.15" neck down off of the downpipe.

From all the data i have seen, it wont make a difference on stock turbo.
