It’s been a while since I used the Bimmerlink app on my Supra and saw they added the exhaust flap and ASD controls. I was thinking of physically disconnecting the ASD module in the trunk, but having it accessible on CarPlay makes it less cumbersome.

You can just code it out permanently using Bimmercode. ?‍♂

I didn’t realize BimmerLink showed up in CarPlay. I rarely use BimmerLink or BimmerCode but might open it up to play around. The only thing I permanently changed was turning off ASD.

I think we have to pay an additional $10-20$ to add CarPlay but I like it. Having oil and coolant temps is nice to have.

Just came to say that after a long time, I fired up BimmerLink on my X6 and found this as well. Neat! works well with Android Auto & Android phones as well. Gotta try it on iPhone, but the exhaust flaps disappear when I'm in motion and only the sensor values remain. Which is ok.
Also, realized and reported that Actual Gear won't go above 6, even when driving on manual controls.

Yeah, I’m really digging having extra data on the display!

I believe the only issue is how quickly it updates, at least with the iphones. If i remember correctly it's only allowed to pull data every so often vs constantly according to apple terms / app terms. Maybe this has changed. When you display direct to your phone it updated quickly but through carplay it's much slower.

Yes it requires the bluetooth OBD adapter. Mine needs to be pulled and installed to get connection everyone start up or every other so i don't use it much but for track days.

It still only updates like every two years. It’s basically useless. Boost will change AFTER a WOT event.
